I'm watching NBC and they just said that Gore's popular vote is now up to 174k and growing, because of CA.

ABC just had the Popular vote going towards Gore by something like 50k votes, with 100% reporting, but they mentioned that that doesen't necessarily mean that they have all been counted..

This is good stuff. Everywhere people are excited, others are scared. No matter what happens I think this is great stuff(upgraded). Is it me or is the media looking sleepy? And all of the sudden people are taking it upon themselves to start calling for a changing to the Constitution. More drama. 🙂

I'll have to say that I've never believed in the Electoral College. My opinion has always been and still is, whoever gets the most votes should win, period. Even though I voted for Bush and I've been holding out hope that he'll win, it looks as though he won't win the popular vote and in my view thats a loss. Lot of personal turmoil going on with this one for me. At this point, I just want it to be over, one way or the other, but it doesn't look like thats going to happen any time soon. Historical times indeed.

I saw we give it to Bush just for the fact that he won Gore and Clintons home states. I mean really, what does that say about Gore when his home state wont even vote for him. LOOOSSSEEERRR!!!!!!!

ABC News has Gore at 260 Electoral votes, Bush at 246!

Oregon and Florida remaining. Oregon has 7 electoral votes. Even if Gore won Oregon, it wouldn't be enough. It's going to come down to Florida.

OK...I've had enough. I've been here for NINE FREAKIN' HOURS and I have to work in the AM. OK, in a few hours.

Thank you and GOOD NIGHT!!!!

Iowa goes to Gore.

Wisconsin has almost all votes in. Bush is ahead by 193 votes!!!!

And finally, Bush is ahead in Oregon 49% to 46%, 60% precincts in.

Good night, Thankfully I don't have work tomorrow, so I can stay up as late as I want to, but it is only 2am here in CA.

taken from shuxclams in another thread.

Wisconson.
Electoral Vote: 11
99% reporting

Al Gore, Dem 1,232,322 - 48%

George W. Bush, GOP 1,225,789 - 48%

no matter who wins, i think the Electoral College issue is gonna be taken to the Supreme Court soon or later. we live in different times than our forefathers did, and we should make this country a total democratic one.

BLAHHHH! I ain't dealin' with this any more tonight. I'm gonna go and get blowed up a few million times in Quake and then I'm goin' to bed.

I hope that people will see that their vote counts, even if it is one in a hundred million, after this election is over.

Edit-
Stupid grammar. I'm too tired. 😛

About 20 minutes ago on CNN they said that Gore is now leading the popular vote by more than 120,000 votes and that Bush is leading in Florida by a scant 900. Unless the remaining 5,000 or so ballots some how give one candidate a ~26,000 point lead (.5% of 5.2 million total votes in Florida), there will be a recount.

EDIT: Everyone, including the people on the news networks and myself, is having a bit of trouble make sentences with grammer good.😕

I almost hope this drags on for a while just so I can watch all the national news media folks operate under severe sleep deprivation conditions. I think Dan Rather is getting a little loopy right now...heh heh
