They don't. Its like ranked 67. How do you think OSU leapfrogged them. I'm thinking LSU is gonna be ranked higher in the new BCS rankings especially if they win in the title game.

No, USC's SOS is 37, LSU's is 72. LSU most definetly will not jump USC in the next BCS ratings. They *might* pass USC in the final BCS poll (after the SEC championship). However, even that will take a lot of luck.

Having 3 bye weeks didn't help them either. I think one of them wasn't their fault but rather PAC-10 scheduling issue.

Do you think if Michigan had only lost to Oregon, they'd be number 2 in the BCS? How close would they be to number 1, because as far as I can tell, Michigan had a great SOS.

OKLAHOMAS OVERRATED!!!! USC'S OVERRATED!!!!!!
LSU'S OVERRATED!!

wow i love how you can just come out and say blantant stuff without backup.

OSU was NOT overrated. you CANNOT be overrated when you only have one loss, and the teams behind you have 2. and sorry, but you cannot be lucky 24 times.

Actually, when you win really close games by luck and without the OFFENSE scoring a touchdown, what does that say about the team? That they definitely don't deserve to be number 2 in the nation!

As I said before, congrats to Michigan for their victory..

now for the bowl game scenarios form an Ohio State perspective.

Best possibility- LSU and USC both lose which puts Michigan in Sugar, not real likely but possible, I think. Then maybe the Buckeyes would end up playing USC in Rose Bowl.

More likely- Buckeyes end up playing Miami in Orange bowl, this is suggested by ESPN's road to BCS story, which seems pretty well thought out.

So it's disappointing to lose to Michigan, but the Buckeyes still have had a good year, 9-2 isn't too shabby with an excellent chance to go to a major bowl.

10-2, not 9-2. And I would LOVE to see an OSU-UM rematch.

I was wondering, what's the second best bowl to be at, after the Sugar Bowl, of course?

I don't think a rematch would change much.

I dont think you were reading my post in the context of the quoted material, but rather in the context of the thread. Sorry for being confusing. I mean a rematch of OSU-Miami (Florida, not Miami Ohio).

Unless you read it correctly and also think OSU would beat Miami.

Gotcha. It would be nice to see Miami spanked twice in the same fashion.

The Bucks had better watch out for that "Florida speed"... oh, wait, that was last year's pre-game buzz-phrase. And then after the game the catch phrase was "defensive team speed"... I guess saying "Ohio speed" would have blatantly pointed out how big of an asshat Trev Alberts (among others, his commentary just stuck in my mind) is.

The only dissapointing thing is we no longer have Wilhelm to rail quarterbacks. It'd be nice to see Miami's QB get shaken up bad again. Note I said shaken up... as in no real injury, just dazed enough to have the urge to use his little towel as a cape and run around saying "I am Batman!"
