Thanks a lot,

Well, that was a well-planned bait-and-switch by OfficeMax, IMHO. I noticed that too, suddenly, they had none of the 100-pack Belkin slim jewels (and no vast tract of empty shelf space where they would have been had they been sold out suddenly), but stacks of those other ValueDisc 100-pack jewel cases. I saw numerous people in line with those too. At one point, I saw an employee carrying multiple ValueDisc packs back from the register area, and asked him if they were the ones on sale, and he said no. Also, the lines were long during BF, and for some reason, unlike CompUSA, the lines at OM didn't even move. I swear they were taking 10min per customer to check out, for some bizarre reason. I've never seen checkout lines actually move that slow.

(Also, in the past, I've had an asst. mgr. at a nearby store, be willing to substitute, as well as pricematch, the 100-pack of ValueDisc, for the 100-pack Belkin slim jewels, as shown on sale the OfficeMax.com web site, because the OM MIR booklet showed *both* the Belkin and the ValueDisc as elgible for the MIR as listed in the ad.)

I went back a few days ago, in fact, and they had the 50-pack Belkin slim jewels for $5 - $5 MIR, but I passed because I saw the ValueDisc 100-pack, specifically, on sale for $8 - $8 MIR, as listed in the "local store ads" on the OfficeMax web site, but when I got to that local store, they were not ringing up with the $12 IR. More misleading advertisements by OfficeMax.

Crazy thing is too, they had 30-packs of Memorex CD-Rs marked at $15. I picked up stacks of them for $2.65 each at CompUSA on BF. :) CompUSA has usually always been pretty good to me in the past, much better than OM or Staples.

Well, I did get my "revenge" (?), in a personal sense, towards the fat, snide, fvck that decided to treat me like an idiot, because I believed that I could somehow purchase the same items listed on the OfficeMax.com web site, at the store, for the same price listed, as long as it didn't say "online only" somewhere, and he tried to convince me that they were totally different, somehow unrelated, businesses. Right, sure... and the moon is made of green cheese too.

I picked up a couple of those 48x CD-burners, on unadvertised special for $20. I could see him trying to keep from bugging out, as I bought the last two 48x I/O Magic burners. A "corporate man" to the end, I guess, trying to keep people from getting deals.

I should say that not all of the "help" at my local store is as bad as this fellow. There was this older gentleman that was quite helpful when I was in the store earlier that day, and was willing to scan a number of CDRW boxes to see which was on sale, and when I asked about Lite-On, he even started looking at the serial numbers for all-numeric ones, and even went into the "back room" to check some other brand's stock to see if they were perhaps a Lite-On.

Either he's had other ATHD'ers in there before, or he is a member himself, possibly. :) (I didn't let on where I heard about the deal, of course. Gotta keep ATHD on the DL in front of retailers - werd to the n00bs.)

Specifically, I'm looking for these rebates:
GE Universal 8 device remote $15 - 15 MIR = free
Novimax LEather Office Chair $49.99 - 30 MIR = 19.99
Avery 4"x6" Glossy Photo Printer Papr $9.99 - 9.99 MIR = free
iConcepts 11 piece PC tool kit $7 - 7MIR = free

This being my 13th day of my 14 days to postmark some of these, I be panickin'
I've called and fought(always nice at 1st) with several CSR's and finally got faxed(they don't DO email :| ) some copys of a couple rebate forms that look like ASS (because of fax).

Check this out. It is a pdf file of ALL the officemax rebates from this year! :)

I think you'll find everything you are looking for.

I don't see one for the GE remote control, but here are the other three:

Avery Photo Paper
iConcepts
Leather manager's chair
:)
