Are you guys able to disable vsync in Direct3D? The 2310s ignored your setting so it always stayed on. I'm not going to get the 2311s if they have the same problem.

SCREW 3DMARK! It's worthless. Try some REAL benchmarking in games

Amen.

<< Wow i guess people really are getting dumber.

<< WDM 1.08 Driver for Personal Cinema >>

>>

OK Wiseguy, when I was on nVidia's site it was just "WDM driver." Now I've visited again and it says "Personal Cinema WDM Drivers" so they had to update the page in the meantime. You horsepiss.

wow. I am a horsepiss. It said nvidia cinema in the thread that you posted it under i believe. Also there is another thread in which somebody already asked this question. i didnt mean to come off as bad as it was, but people just ask the same question over and over... i guess that happens since we don thave full text searching anymore unless we pay for it.

If you payed over $5000 for your computer, and have a version of windows that can't run anything but huge databases then yea, download the 64-bit drivers, otherwise download the Win2K/XP drivers!

I don't really see much of a difference in speed in games with these new drivers... but winXP's interface is MUCH faster now. I used to experience a slight 'lag' when scrolling down in windows explorer using the sidebar. Now its just as fast as with win98. Great job Nvidia!

Thanks for the heads up!! Just in time too, I was planning on doing a clean install of XP tonight (I ran the dynamic update originally but am experiencing some probs).

BTW, kudos to my cable company............Total download time 14 seconds, average speed 471.70 KB/S (I saw it hit as high as 650)

Makes me afraid to upgrade. I've had troubles w/ Detonator since I first installed XP a couple months ago. Locks up on most games. So I'm stuck w/ the drivers that ship in XP. Not the fastest things in the world, but at least they're stable.

It's all that nv_disp4 or whatever crap. And my computer isn't overclocked.

Roger that!

As of right now, I hereby decree this thread is off limits to 3DMark score posting and anything dealing with 3DMark. Nobody can post bellow this line if it contains anything of the before stated (lets see how long this lasts).

My 3dMark 2001 score is 4506.

3dMarks are fun, why don't you crabby bastards go run some useful 6 hour benckmark and tell us what your score is. :D

3dMarks are just fun, why can't people understand that 3dMarks are not intended to be the be all, end all of graphics card testing, etc., It is a fun benchmark, that can be run fast and the scores you get can be compared to 1000's of other machines scores, using the same exact test. WTF is wrong with that?

My 3DMark is 6870. 170 points more than with 21.85's. I only use it to make sure that my system is running well for my specs, not for any pissing contest.

The program that runs a series of entertainment simulated environments designed to conform the mind of the user into believing the results are meaningful, displays an abstract number beginning with an 8 and three other fluctuating numbers dependant upon driver optimizations on my system.

I am running Detonator 21.83 WHQL XP Drivers in Windows XP Pro (2600) on my TNT/1 16meg and the system is rock solid. Not a single video related crash.

I am also using CoolBits with the WHQL certified drivers. I have my card overclocked and running smooth.

3DMark increases, but Quake3 doesn't. 3DMark went from 7392 to 7658.

This driver did something funky with my fonts in notepad. They are much smaller now and if I try to adjust them they either stay small at 12pt or below, or get really big at above 12pt. It's either big or small, there is no in between.
