Just Picked up a 9600GT today (keep me going untill the big boys coem out in June/July!) - installed using these drivers all seems well 😀

DAMMIT! There is still stuttering in UT2004. Very very uncool. I guess that this issuse will never be fixed under XP. err

Why does nVidia's driver site still only show the 169.21 driver when I choose my card (6 series)? Looks like several of you guys are running the 6 series on these without incident. Odd.

works fine with my 7950GT 512MB in xp pro sp3...and lopri is right, i feel like the control panel is a bit smoother/faster/lighter as well.

Because the website team didn't get around to updating the FX/6/7 series driver pages.

Here's a direct link for you.

It says plain and clear that the 6 series is supported.

Oh, I read in the linked release notes that my card was supported. it just seems odd to me that nVidia wouldn't update everything at once, especially since the FX 5200 is still one of the most readily available cards at retailers (gotta love WalMart & Staples for hanging on to this).

"Best" way is to uninstall old ones first. Especially true for Nvidia for some reason, or so I read.

Edited my name correctly :0

Vista will try to re-install the old drivers upon normal reboot. So I uninstall old drivers, then boot into Safe Mode to install the new driver set.
