well i'm cashing out. i dunno if it's the commercials or the pitchers or the couple of baserunners per half innning, but this game seems to be taking a long time. i guess it is the middle of the fourth and we're an hour and a half in, so it's not bad, but at 1-0 i'd have expected a bit quicker game.

oh, and tulowitski is the best freaking short stop in the majors.

Absolutely.

My jaw dropped when he made that catch.

And to follow it up with a throw to first that could have easily gotten out the runner if he wasn't paying quite as good attention.
 
came back from taking the dogs out and the rockies were still batting, scoring 6 with 2 outs

Wait...you're in TX?

What...do you gotta get up at 4AM or somethin?

I've stayed up for the 1-1:30 finishes for the Rockies, and have been rewarded by being able to see some great plays.
 
Things getting dicey in the 8th inning - I really don't trust Fuentes - scariest part of any rockies game is when he goes in.

Edit: I posted before the homerun as well...
 
I wish we still had a 6-1 lead, but I'll take a lead. Corpas has been good lately.

I will say that Fuentes sometimes is awesome...but when he's off he's usually way off. There's a reason he's not the closer anymore.
 
Unbelievable!! I hope they win the whole thing. Look at Todd Helton, he's so shocked right now...can't even talk.

Of all the players that I'm happy to see go I'm happiest to see Todd Helton go to the World Series.

Yeah Todd really deserves it. He also deserves a World Series win. He's an awesome player.

I'm proud of our team here. Been through ups and downs this whole year but when it mattered we've steamrolled through.

Tulo is ROTY, no matter what anyone else says or what happens there's no way he isn't in my book.

But the whole lineup has just done so well. They won all these games because they played so well as a team - not individually. Everyone picked everyone else up and if one persons bat was being quiet, then another one woke up. Been great to watch them play.

Definitely, if anybody but Tulo wins at this point it will be a travesty.

And that is one of the key reasons why they have done so well this postseason. It wasn't just the work of one or two or even three guys it was the whole team.
 
I've lived in Colorado my whole life and am finally able to say we have a great baseball team. I never really follow baseball, but I've been getting really into it lately (for obvious reasons) and have been more fired up during these games than with the football I usually watch. Absolutely incredible what the Rockies have accomplished. I will be camping out for world series tickets for sure.
 
As a Giants fan all I can tell you is to enjoy it while it lasts. Catching lightning in a bottle and making the World Series is an incredible experience. The rest of us baseball fans are pretty shocked. A rotation led by Jeff Francis and Josh Fogg in the world series? Now that's unbelievable.

Amazing guy for sure. Valedictorian in HS, state champs in baseball and football and actually started a few games in college as QB ahead of Peyton Manning. Also led us to the CWS when he was at UT. Can't be happier for him and hope he gets his ring!

Amazing guy for sure. Valedictorian in HS, state champs in baseball and football and actually started a few games in college as QB ahead of Peyton Manning. Also led us to the CWS when he was at UT. Can't be happier for him and hope he gets his ring!

Yup, we have another college QB on the Rockies that was alongside ELI Manning. Can't remember who it was, but having both Manning brothers 'backups' is kind of funny.
