What's the point of good graphics if the games are horrible? The 360 has been thoroughly unimpressive so far, and even after 6 months there isn't more than a handful of decent games. With the price of the PS3 being ridiculous it looks like I'm buying the Wii, unless the Xbox games improve or theres a dramatic price drop.

it is but it will be on wii launch day. There will be 2 versions: a gc version and a wii version. This bugged me because I wanted to play it before Q4. 🙁

Wow...watching these guys play tennis with the Wii controller makes me wonder how many controllers are going to end up accidently thrown across rooms. 😀

I am no fanboy, my last console that i paid for was a sega. This system is the most innovative thing i have seen in awhile, except for the DS.

Xbox 360 and PS3, can exist alongside Wii, but if you are looking for something new the Wii will take the front as a fun and exciting twist on gaming.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing but I saw they have a wriststrap so as to prevent something like that from happening.
 
The new controller, while I had my apprehensions, looks much better and seems to work much more fluidly than the old glove system Nintendo had years ago. The tennis demonstration was awesome.
 
Seriosly..the end where they are playing tenis was the best part of the show for nintendo.

Everyone onstage is joking around having fun
The crowd was excited
The crowd was having fun and laughing

Thats a really good image for the Wii..and something that everyone will leave with.
 
Arrrgg....no mention of price. Fungible mention of release date (Last quarter of 2006). C'mon Nintendo!

Wow, you don't pay attention to life, do you?

Nintendo has been saying ALL ALONG that it will be graphically inferior to the other next-gen consoles, it doesn't even support resolutions higher than 480p. Did you EXPECT to be blown away by the graphics?

PS x360's games suck so far, my friend has one and the only time we ever play it is to play the old arcade games...even Madden is terrible, and Madden has been consistantly good for every system for 15 years.

This is going to compliment my 360 perfectly. I'll have the fun and innovative, plus amazing first party, nintendo games on one... and all my eye candy games on the other. PS3 who?
 
Any discussion of specs, launch date, or price?

I know there were rumours of a $250 launch, but anything confirmed during the conference? I only caught the last 10 minutes with the tennis match.
