Damn the Avs traded Tanguay 🙁. He is such a good player, they seem to have gotten some good options for trading him, but damn ... I will end up being a closet Calgary fan now for Tanguay, just as I'm a closet Sabres fan for Drury. Lets hope this deal isn't a bust like the Drury deal was.:brokenheart:

IMO it's just strange that they couldn't sort that crap out before signing a long-term deal, or extension for that matter.

There's a lot of speculation right now. Perhaps the Mrs. Pronger reason is only a coverup for something else. I doubt the public will ever know.

Anyhoo, the bottom line is they have a great bargaining chip now, and they should be able to get someone or a couple decent players for Prongs. The best thing they could have done was get him in the first place. I think the law of averages is working against him if he thinks he will make it back to the cup final with another team in his career... but he is Pronger and that in itself kinda deflates the law of averages. As much as their goaltending did to get them deep, Pronger did a lot too. I think he can dominate games just like a tender can.

It will be interesting to see where he ends up, geographically at least. If it's a locational issue being brought on by his wife, that kind of puts them in a bind... ie. they don't get to decide where K. Lowe trades him... :evil:

One of my local London Drugs Cashier ladies was disappointed that it was a shortened Draft this year. One of her sons had a good chance of getting Drafted in a longer Draft.

Hope the Canucks picked up some good talent.

They should?ve locked him longer. He's going to want even more after that?s over. 6.5 is close to pronger money and I don?t think Redden is close to Pronger, especially come playoff time.

I'd rather keep Chara, but the word is he wants 7+.

And Luongo finally gets a nice fat paycheck. We'll see if hes worth the money, all signs point to yes.
 
Luongo is the only reason Florida has had an ounce of competitiveness since he has been there.

I bought a few of his rookie cards a few months back on a gut feeling, for investment purposes. 🙂

My prediction is that he will take the Canucks deep next season. We'll see!
