However, it will be an Eastern team that wins the cup......that is what I feel.

Thoughts on Buffalo beating Carolina this round?....hope so.

Very evenly matched teams.
Buffalo has a bit more depth with the fourth line, but that really all comes out in the wash.
Both teams have hot young goal tenders and a fast small team.

Should be a great series. Though I have buffalo taking it in 5 or 6.
 
Ohhhh Duckies vs Oil. Gonna be one hell of a series!!! Both play great team D, and play a grinding style.

To make an obvious statement about the playoffs: It doesn't seem to matter the talent of a team it is really the grit, and desire that creates a winning team in the playoffs. Look at the Avs, plenty of talent, beat by speed and hard work. The Avs went down like that last season against the Sharks too :|. I haven?t followed any of the other series close enough to make a good observation.

Wow! Cocky? I've never been called that before. Enthusiastic? Yes. Cocky? No.

Anyways, yeah, yeah, Thornton and Cheechoo weren't so hot in the post season, but Marleau was IMO. I know I'm a Sharks fan, but they deserved to lose the series the way they played in games 4-6.

I couldn't agree more. As much as I would have loved to see the Sharks advance, they didn't play with as much desire as the Oilers did.

I don't really think there's a favourite at this point. Anaheim and Edmonton both have upset some pretty serious teams. Buffalo took out Ottawa (though they didn't really seem to show up for that matter), and NJ is always a perennial contender, who Carolina disposed of.

It's anyone's cup at this point in the playoffs.

Todd Marchant is one guy that I always loved as an Oiler. Just a great, speedy, unselfish player. I see he is on a line with Lupul too... hmm. Game 1s are great. I won't miss a millisecond of the action tonight (well, blinking aside). 😉
