 🙂

5 straight wins after hammering St. Louis 7-2 last night!

Dallas and Nashville coming up though! GO OILERS

fvck... Ovechkin had 2 goals last night and neither counted on the stats sheet. 1 disallowed because of a high stick (knocked the puck down and then broke in and scored) and the other in the shootout. :|

Just give the Calder to Crosby already. At least his points where he shoots it into a teammate's ass and deflects in counts for points... 🙂

BTW, I was checking some sticks out yesterday in the store and I noticed they already had a Crosby curve. What is this world coming to ? 🙁

Crosby curve?! ahhaha.

That was a pretty nice deke by Ovy in the shootout last night - I didn't get the whole leg-lift thing when he was coming in, but whatever works 🙂

I forgot to watch those Crosby goals. hmm... *goes to nhl.com*

hmm. meh - nice flick upstairs on the 2nd goal, nicer feed by Mario though 🙂

well shooters pump the leg similar to that to get more power into the shot (especially if shooting from an off-wing) so it was basically just a fake shot attempt... should freeze the goalie and delay his next move... but NHL goalies are ready for anything.

Sens shutout Islanders 6- 0

Alfredsson is tied for the NHL scoring lead and Hassek has 66 shutouts.

Looks like the Sens are working like a well oiled machine right now. They maybe the best team in the NHL now. 😉

I hope the Rangers dont all of a sudden become buyers at the trade deadline. I hope they stand pat with what they have and build on this foundation.

I'd have to agree with you there... with Detroit dropping 2 straight against good-but-not-great teams (it could be argued that Phoenix is simply mediocre, but whatever) - Ottawa is definetely looking like the team to beat. plus... that top line... WOW

Hasek is looking true to his old form again. By the way, what the heck happened to Lalime?! Is it just the fact that St. Louis' defence lost Pronger & MacInnis and can't give him any help? It's too bad... although they did gain Brewer and a couple nice young D. That team is getting owned pretty hard lately.

The goals are in my sig. 😉 Ovechkin was shadowed... the 1st key to the game was "eliminate Ovechkin"... and they did for a large part of 1.5 periods... he was eventually able to score 1 from a sharp angle and one from the deep point that was deflected by McCabe. You know though, the best part of my day is when the opposing team's announcers praise the guy endlessly. I can never get sick of it. 😉

Anyway, the Leafs would've probably won that game had Belfour been in the net instead of Tellqvist... he let in a really soft goal to start. The 6-8 Caps are doing too well now. 🙁 It's sad when a big Caps fan like myself stops giving a $h!t when the opposing team scores... but if AO gets so much as an assist, there's a big smile on my face.

i will have to check those goals out later. WMP doesn't fire up at the office for some reason - they are years behind when it comes to software - even Windows-based apps. it's funny 🙂

Plenty of praise for Ovy going around... he is awesome.

My team gets back on the saddle tonight (no pun intended) in Dallas. w00t, going for 6 wins in a row!

:music: start spreadin' the news... :music:

Crosby in town. ooh, Lemieux scores - 1-0 Pens

no sh1t?! nice job. how much were tickets? Well, you get to see a great up-and-coming player. Sweet choice of game.

I couldn't get the Rangers game... only have Center Ice and the local channels which are FSNY (Devils/Isles) and MSG (Rangers) but they must be on OLN (which I don't get).

Grrr... Crosby scored. 😉

wtf is up with this reporting...

http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/players/3637/news

Nov 7 Ovechkin scored a pair of power-play goals Sunday to spark the Washington Capitals to a 5-4 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs. The rookie's first tally, late in the second period to break a 3-3 tie, proved to be the game-winner. He added an insurance goal early in the third period before Toronto closed out the scoring.

Advice: Ovechkin now has 10 goals to lead all rookies. He also has five assists, and only Pittsburgh's Bobby Crosby (4-14-18) has more points than the Washington rookie.
1) if the final was 5-4... how does a goal to break a 3-3 tie become the game winner ? 😕
2) Bobby Crosby ?!

LOL. Bobby Crosby. what a bunch of hacks.

WOW Jagr had 8 shots tonight. dammit. no goals.

:Q Flames take an early lead on the Canucks...

:| come on OILERS. :|

kick his ass Smitty

fsck you Geurin, biggest a-hole in the league right there boys.
