Yeah that sucked. They had plenty of good chances in the 2nd OT. I was hoping that would carry over into the 3rd OT. I had a feeling that this game would end early in the 3rd OT, but I didn't expect to go the Oiler's way. 🙁

Yeah they were struggling on the face off all game long. Ugh I'm so disappointed. We started off with a craptastic 1st, but we came back in the 2nd with 2 goals. It just sucks to see effort go to waste. Hopefully, they'll learn from the mistakes in this game and bounce right back on Friday.

Honestly though, if the Oilers do end up winning (hopefully not! 😉), I'll root for them to win it all. I can see a lot of heart in this team. That's why I've been tense so far this series. Even with those 2 wins we got in the first 2 games, all it would have taken is a lucky bounce for the end result to go the other way.

No Horcoff, but there is a Smith that plays for San Jose, I got up mid post to go to the bathroom, come back, and i hear "smith assists on a goal" and got super excited. Damned if i knew from the radio (since i live out of market and don't get the game) that to my dismay it was "Smyth" 🙁
desire for the sharks to win got away from me 😉

didn't watch the detroit - edmonton series but one thing the announcer said was "how do you beat a hockey team whose players are so commited to winning that they will even throw their face in the line of the puck" >< I think that was about Horcoff who tonight.. well damnit... 😉

Damn, I wanted Buffalo to win in Buffalo, guess it's going to happen in Ottawa.
There is no way Ottawa will win 4 straight. I will put an easy $100 on it. 😀
It's clear that the game rests on Buffalo's ability to play hockey. When they make a mistake Ottawa scores.
Both teams played fairly crappy. Buffalo started sluggish in the first and Ottawa capatalized on a big mistake along the boards.
Then Buffalo came out strong in the second and third, but couldn't slam it home behind Emery.
Both teams looked like they were on ludes. They weren't going strong after the puck and just sat there and watched who the puck drifted towards. They both were playing the man and not the puck along the boards.
Ottawa forwards are totally ineffective and can't even get a shot on net, let alone across the line.
That game was an awful outing by both teams.

So, yesterday I open my front door on the way to work and an envelope falls in. I'm thinking, what the heck is this? It was addressed to me by name, so figured it must have been from someone I knew. Turns out it was an autographed pic of the ducks from Dustin Penner's dad. 🙂

Awesome!! My friend who worked in the press box for the Pirates was working to get signed photos of Getzlaf, Perry and Penner, but they were called up before he could get to it 🙁. After the way they have played we won't be seeing them in Portland ever again 🙁. I do have to say it was quite awesome to see those 3 play on a line here. I was only a few rows back from the glass, just awesome. All of that for 10 bucks a ticket to see such talent... *siiiigh* (tear).
Avs are gone, didn't even get one game, what a disappointment. Avs never really looked like the clicked the whole series, and as a result they only lasted 4 games. The Ducks looked strong though, very strong. I was hoping for the Avs, but was still a Ducks fan, and will be rooting for the Ducks the rest of the way, perhaps some rooting for Buffalo as I do enjoy their style of play as well.

Anyway I didn't miss any of the game... IN REGULATION...
Once again the time differential proved to be a little too much for me as I could only last until about 1:30am (I have to work in the morning! ). So once again I had to go to bed with a good luck wish for my team 😛 I feel like I missed almost an entire game though, with all of the OT that went on without a goal.
SampS: dude no credit for the West eh... such things have been known to bite people in the ass 😛
