Epic Fail.

There can only be so much choke that goes on in one playoff year. Usually the Sharks choke enough for everyone, but this year they're doing well, so the Caps/ Penguins, and Bruins had to pick up the slack.

Did you come up with that by yourself, or are you just regurgitating something you heard?

if you go by seeds, then 1/2 seed should be in wcf, 3/4 should exit in 2nd round, and 5-8 should exit in the first round.

02: 3rd seed, lost in 2nd round, so this is on par
03: DNQ
04: 2nd seed, lost in 3rd round, so this is on par
05: lockout
06: 5th seed, lost in 2nd round, so this is above par
07: 5th seed, lost in 2nd round, so this is above par
08: 2nd seed, lost in 2nd round, so this is under par
09: 1st seed, lost in 1st round, so this is just a disaster
And of course, the Sharks are so far on par this year.

I didn't realize that the sharks doing well would create such a vast disparity in suckage that three other teams would need to collapse to make up for it!

hehe, the Hockey Gods are finicky and try to limit the Suck just a few teams. If Toronto ever does well, the very League could collapse from the Suck Tsunami sweeping over it.

wow, even throwing stuff out onto the ice. Patriots fans acted like assholes when the Ravens walked all over them in the playoffs. They were booing the Pats in the very beginning of the game. Assholes.

don't Flyer fans at Wachovia usually take the "classless" cake?

JD, you can't seriously be surprised there were things tossed on the ice... BAHAHHA

they completed one of the most epic collapses in sports history.... i'm surprised Boston didn't burn last night.

I wasn't surprised, like I said, Boston fans are assholes. Even the Caps got a standing ovation last year when they choked in game 7 against the Pens, and DC fans aren't the greatest.

Some crazy facts from last night:

• The Flyers became the third team to overcome a three-goal deficit in a Game 7 and the first to do so in regulation.

• The No. 7 Flyers will meet the No. 8 Montreal Canadiens, marking the first time a 7 and an 8 seed have met in the conference finals.

Even though I'm rooting for the Flyers, I hope whoever represents the East wins it all. Both teams are true Cinderellas with balls the size of a tractor trailer.

The Hawks will come in and destroy you because they will be juiced up on shark meat!

7 8 in east
1 2 in west

No, not really. The home crowd can be pretty brutal in the shit that they yell, but for the most part, we don't boo our team off the ice and generally shit only makes its way onto the surface in celebration. The Eagles fans, yeah, they'll do both.

The fans in DC are polite, though. I attended 4 out of 7 when the Flyers beat the Caps 2 years ago in the first round. Two in philly, two in DC. The Flyers fans are pretty brutal in the shit they're yelling, but the beer throwing and ass kicking is usually limited to Eagles games or possibly fighting Tie Domi in the p-box.

The fans in DC were waaaaay too polite to people in Flyers jerseys. I'm not saying throw batteries at us, but there was very little shit talking in the stands and corridors of any variety. The Caps won that game, too - really need to learn to rub it in.

Tie Domi, I remember that. hehe

Yep for the most part Cap fans don't really care because 3 of the top 10 richest counties in the country are here (Loudoun, Arlington, and Montgomery) so it's basically all rich yuppies who pass the time going to a hockey game. They will cheer pretty dam loud but are polite because life is good. The Skins are the same, compare that to the Ravens and it's a whole nother world! Skin fans will just about golfclap and the most flack I caught tailgating with a Westbrook jersey was "Hey, aren't you at the wrong game?" (Skins weren't playing Philly that day).

Flyer fans for the most part now consist of rich suburban South Jersey/Delaware crowd due to skyrocketing ticket prices. You don't really see the blue collar fans that were around 10 years ago but overall Philly/NJ is still a tougher, chip on the shoulder crowd vice DC.

Yep, DC fans are the "wine and cheese" crowd. I grew up watching the Caps because Baltimore didn't have an NHL team. If Baltimore had an NHL team I wouldn't be a Caps fan.
