What an ass beating by the Wings. Way to come out flat, Sharkies.

At least on the bright side, Detroit fans are able to see a touchdown on the scoreboard tonight. 😀

I think they've also stuck with Huet cause his contract is pretty hard to move. 5.625m/yr for a backup is pretty bad. Hes signed through two more years after this one.

That means this past off season trying to trade him was trying to move a middle of the pack / questionable tender with a 5.625m/yr contract for three years. Yikes.

I can't find it now, but I read in some article that Luongo basically said the Canucks were going to be pushing at Niemi next game since it's apparently legal and allowed in this series.

My only thought was why wait until the next game, they should have been all over him in the one they were in.

And lastly Krejci is out for the season with a broken wrist. That's a real bummer for Bruins fans. 🙁

Hawks can release him for only 1.6 million a year I believe. No one wants to eat that, but it better then hurting your cap with his pay.

Hawks picked up hossa, and you can expect kane/toews/sharp/keith/seabrook/campbell(Adept hes been injured) to expect more.

I am amazed that the Habs can keep playing over their heads. 2 more wins to go to seal this series.

Michael

Somehow the Habs find ways to win. I don't know if I want them to keep winning and knock out Pitts or start playing like the team they actually are...

What an ass beating by Franzen. Way to come out flat, Sharkies.

Fixed. He was incredible.

Not worried yet, but certainly starting to be concerned. Losing game 4 (while not good) is fine - but getting creamed like that, oh man.

Worst 5 minutes of Hockey I watched. I could not believe the goal after goal after goal. I guess this is how Detroit fans felt in game 1 during that (comparatively small) outburst by the Sharks - This was worse in some ways, but it was also amazing. When he was defended they couldn't stop him, and they still left him open for I think his 3rd (well 2nd?) goal!

I really expected him to score 5 - at least I could say I've seen a 5 goal game happen that way.

True,

But then they'd have to find a replacement backup as "capable" and the difference of what they save is probably made up for by the buyout.

It'll definitely be an interesting off-season for Chicago and probably other teams as well. San Jose is going to have some predicaments with RFA/UFA situation as well with Marleau, Nabakov, Pavelski, Setoguchi, Malhotra and others coming off contract.

Hossa, Keith, Kane and Toews and Campbell all have lengthy contracts that were all signed recently. Seabrook and Sharp are the only ones you'd have to worry about. That keeps the core of the team together. I think the hawks can be fine without campbell and his 7 million dollar a year hit to the team, but then again I am not an NHL general manager.

the Wing behind Marleau wasn't even skating back, he was just gliding (was that Rafalski?)

they have no grit this year. they needed more guys like Helm and Applicator to compete.

Maltby would be nice.

No I think it was Jason Williams. Applicator can just sit on the bench imo ... he is playing like a rookie right now (taking dump penalties, can't grind the puck out of corners, etc...)

I can't wait for game 5 this weekend. Win or lose I will happy with the Wings performance this season considering .... No one thought they would be here back in January, and it's been fun especial after a total destruction to the sharks last night at the Joe.
Now if they win one in San Jose, I think we got a series again... I am sure the sharks don't want to come back to an erupted Joe arena.
I have to believe yesterday's loss will play in the sharks heads a little, their coach showed no confidence in his team after last nights loss...
I think the wings chances of a game 7 is very slim to none, but one game at a time ... keep tha Mule on fire. Go Wings.
