Ovi usually serves those since he doesn't kill penalties anyway and he can be sprung on a pass as he gets out of the box... lots of teams do it with their best players.

Most teams' best players are 2 way forwards. Ovechkin really isn't - he's a rare scoring talent, but not a two way player.

I wouldn't say that most teams best player can't play on the PK. Nothing against Ovechkin, but that is why Crosby is better. And I hate saying that as a Flyers fan.

Wow. These caps announcers are something else.

They just got done saying Green should win the Norris because of his "terrific defensive play" after the break. Then they named him the best power play quarterback in the NHL.

It underscores how awful it is that Pronger isn't a finalist. Pronger is at least in the top 3 in the NHL when you factor in, you know, defense. And him and Timonen are the two best PP point players in the East.

Anyone see Green get run over in the slot, in his own zone, to give up a SOG? That guy isn't a defenseman. I don't care what anyone says.

Carlson is the real deal, and will be the Caps top d-man shortly. It hurts that he was drafted with the pick that Philly sent Washington for Eminger, IIRC.

Congratulations to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Hope you get the Cup. Proud to be an Ottawa Senators fan. 🙂

YES!!! SUCK IT OTTAWA!!!! I hate this city!!! I am glad they won game 5 so that all the fans could watch them lose in person. Woohoo!!!!

Nice comeback by the pens to advance. I stopped watching a 2-0 cause I had to go out, didn't expect how the game turned out. Sorry Sens fans.

Yay Sharks advanced as well (in slightly less dramatic fashion).

Good try Avs. Next year you'll have more experience.

I'm scared. The Avs performed above expectation and are in an upswing in terms of talent/experience. This team is on track to be pretty good real soon.
