I expected the kings to come out flying tonight, didn't think they'd wait until the third period, but at least they got it done.

According to the NHL, they reviewed whether the puck went in the net before the interference happened. When the puck crosses the goal line is reviewable.

Sorry, stepped away from the thread. My point is that the moment they call interference, its a non-reviewable call. So why review what can't be reviewed? I am still going with they reviewed it, saw a non-reviewable call in a review, then made the decision on interference, which presents an interesting situation. During review, you see something that isn't reviewable...what happens? You've already reviewed it, but if you make the call and change it to something that isn't reviewable, how does the call get made in the first place?

Also, fucking 3rd period...

Wow, refs must be riding the stupid train right now. First you miss an extremely clear interference call and then you call a misconduct when an agitated player tells you how badly you fucked up and how useless you are at doing your job. Which was 100% called for.

getting alittle heated in nyc. we shall see if the habs strategy pays off. so far the rangers are biting and getting the shaft.

Overtime for Habs and Rangers and I need to board my flight from Shanghai to SFO soon. Still hoping for a few Habs wins so I can watch game 6 in NYC.

It was because he elbowed the linesman in the face a couple of times.

He hit the linesman. That's a big no no. Probably be suspended 3 games

Meh, it was just once and it wasn't a big 'un. I know you don't hit the referees and get away with it, but I understand the frustration because they were absolutely useless.

It's 100% known in this league any on purpose contact is a No-No. Automatic suspension. Usually either 3 or 10 games. This will probably be 3.

Why did Tampa trade Tokarski to the Canadiens for Cedrik Desjardins? (Another goalie) It was a straight goalie for goalie deal.

I've watched Desjardins play a lot, he's my age and we actually played against each other when we were teenagers often in the same league. (He grew up an hour from where I did) I also watched him play often for the Rimouski Océanic as I often went to there games as Crosby was on the team at that same time.

Anyways the point - I've never been that impressed with Desjardins as far as being able to be an everyday goalie - Tokarski on the other hand has the Carey Price like pedigree and could be a factor in this series.

I've questioned that trade all year from the Tampa side of things.

Congrats to the Habs. Looks like Therrien silenced the critics who wondered why they'd start a rookie with no NHL playoff experience (myself included)--Tokarski played like a champ last night, making some amazing saves.

I didn't ask that. I've seen Budaj play enough games in an Avs uniform to know why he wasn't played. He is a decent backup and absolutely nothing more.

Plenty of things can go wrong with either scenario (decent backup vs. untested rookie).

Carcillo's out for the remainder of the playoffs considering the Rangers have a maximum of 11 more games to play should they beat the Habs.

Stupid, stupid move on his part.

Prust is out for 2 games. Certainly a late hit, and resulted in an injury. Was not targeted at the head and main contact was the upper chest. Looks like he clipped the jaw which resulted in an injury. I bet no injury, no suspension.

Kings seem to have the will to win. Blackhawks are playing well but can't seem to finish the games.

Time for the Habs to step up tonight. Both teams got an extra day of rest, now the Habs need to bear down and play better than the Rangers. The Rangers have outplayed them all three games so far.

Michael

The hawks have been asleep since the first quarter of game 2. Painful to watch.

Yup. As good as the Kings are playing, the Hawks are playing like complete garbage. No doubt the two are related but the Hawks are a better team against quality opponents than what they've been showing the past 3 games.

There's no doubt in my mind that Sharp's playing while injured--the guy's been practically invisible for the entire playoffs.

The Habs need to score more than 2 goals tomorrow or their season is done. Vanek has been absent the entire series and the rest if their stars are not much better. The OT winning goal was a great shot from a great player but it happened because Markov blew two chances to clear the zone and coverage inside the zone broke down.

Michael

Kings with an enormous win tonight.

Other than the Boston losing to Montreal thing, my original brackets are looking brilliant.

Of course i went and re-predicted this round here, but let's forgot those predictions. :whiste:
