DET > BOS in 7
MTL > TBL in 6
PIT > CBJ in 5
PHI > NYR in 7

COL > MIN in 6
CHI > STL in 6
ANA > DAL in 6
LA > SJ in 7

Go Habs Go!!! but as much as I would love to see MTL win the cup... I see Ducks VS PIT in the finals.

Not sure what I think about Andersen starting in goal tonight.

Is hiller totally out of the picture right now? I think boudreau is choosing between the two rookies. Anyways, Andersen did really well this year and got quite a few games under his belt, so I feel pretty good about him.

Seems like Hiller is sitting for now. Obliviously he's been ice cold recently. I just hope this doesn't backfire. I like Freddy and Gibby but they definitely lack experience.

Habs out shot and out played the Lightening and squeaked past them in overtime.

Great resilience but too many turnovers. Was a petty exciting game.

Price's save percentage was really low, but there was maybe one goal where he really had a chance. He made the saves he had to and was solid in OT

I have no problems with Hiller on the bench. He hasn't been up to par lately and Andersen seems to have nerves of steel. Hiller's not the man to lead the Ducks to victory.

Ducks vs Stars: 4-0 and then the Ducks got lazy. Must've turned over more than 10 pucks in the second half of the game. Nice seeing goals from three lines and very nice to see some damn power play goals. We haven't exactly been showered with those in regular season.

Lightning vs Canadiens: really, really bad hockey. Turnover after turnover. Was great hockey to watch though, with everyone finishing their checks and goals in a timely fashion. Hope Tampa can start establishing in the offensive zone next time, they only got 16 shots on goal in regulation.

Pens vs Jackets: didn't watch the entire game, but Pens seemed to be pretty superior. Jackets wont win the series on turnover and shorthanded goals.

EDIT: Really hoping for Ducks vs Red Wings in the finals.

I fell asleep, did Getzlaf come back after taking that puck to the face?

That game showcased why Ben Bishop was a leading Vezina candidate all year long and why he should finish second to Rask when it's all said and done. Sami Salo is on your top D pairing? Yeah, your goalkeeper's gonna see a shooting gallery. Carey's in the same boat for MTL. I'm not at all surprised what we saw last night....but I did like the hate these two seem to be brewing for each other. Big thing going forward.....it looks like Ondrej Palat left the game in the third and didn't return. That dude has been on fire and probably right behind Mackinnon in the Calder race, so TB better not hope he's out for too long.

I saw bits 'n' pieces of it too. Meh...

Apparently getzy will be fine. Puck hit him right at the end of the game, he didn't come back. He needed stitches immediately though.

I've been having weird nightmares-while-awake recently that getzy or perry go down and ruin our imminent deep run. (Yeah, I'm pretty sports crazy). So that one scared the living hell outta me.

Edit: Also, I want to mention that in my opinion Getzlaf is literally top 3 in the league. And if defense is taken into account possibly the best. Of the top scorers, he's by far the best defender of them all. He's big, extremely talented passer, has a mean side. He was extremely dominant in the olympics. So yeah, I like him.

Noticed how all 3 games from last night were decided by 1 goal? For play off games, there was a lot of sloppy hockey last night.

Ducks vs Red Wings in the finals.. that's the "Unfinished Business" right there.

This Chicago game is too stressful.
Oh and Ott is a fucking scumbag and needs to get his ass kicked.

Holy shit, what the fuck happened these first two nights...

So much scoring. Like, SO MUCH SCORING
It's awesome and very unexpected...a lot of sloppy hockey.

And WTF LA...this had better be just an early hiccup or my pools are very screwed.

Crazy end to the Wild-Avs game. Kind of a cheap OT goal though with the two Wild players in front of the net getting taken out before the goal was scored.

That empty net hustle save was so awesome, considering the Avs came back to win.

Before Thursday, the longest playoff overtime game for the Blues was a 4-3 victory over Detroit on April 7, 1984
I would have guessed it was the 1997 conf finals? Oh god what a game, Yzerman on a breakaway to win. If memory serves it was a game 7.

I would've guessed that, as well. And yes, it was a Game Seven... Yzerman, top corner, from just inside the blue line. What a shot!!!

EDIT: I'm thinking of the 2OT game from the '96 series.

Haha Datsyuk is freaking inhuman. Whatever, I'll just drag this puck between my legs in neutral zone and then score. No big deal.

Go Wings!

Go Wings.

A tip of my cap to Griffin's head coach Jeff Blashill for sending up so many defensively sound players. They were all ready for prime time.
