I mentioned it in another thread (maybe even earlier in this one!), but I'll mention it again. I think Shanahan fancies himself as a QB guru who can develop stars. Maybe he thinks he can "develop" JaMarcus. Of course, who has Shanahan really developed? Brian Griese? Hahahaha....

I wonder if all the NFL weirdness this year might be due to the possibility of a lockout. Coaches, GMs, and owners are doing all sorts of crazy shit while they can.

When I start thinking about life post-Manning, I get depressed. I think we have 5 more years or so and then the Colts will be back to being bad or mediocre.

The Colts are my #2 team after the Saints (I spent about three years in Indiana), and I really like Peyton. With that said, I hope he retires soon. He's playing well, he's liked and respected, it's the perfect set of conditions for him to make a graceful exit.

Grace-ful (adj.): Displaying grace in form or action
Antonyms: See Favre

And in the as shanahan turns saga...latest from little shanahan was that DFM was told during the week they were concerned about his health and could start sexy rexy or may pull him during the game. Comment from DFM when asked about this during his weekly radio show was I don't recall hearing anything like that during our meetings this week.

To the steel cage gentlemen!

I believe McNabb. In his tenure in the league he has been NOTHING but class on and off the field from day one. I wouldn't expect him to lie like that now.

Well, if the message is, "We're not happy with your level of performance. Either improve or you're gone.", even a "12 year veteran" like McNabb should be able to figure it out.

I didn't think he couldn't figure it out. Not in the slightest. I'm saying is that's a msg you don't have to send to a 12yr decorated vetern like McNabb. You can just TELL him that. You don't play games with him to teach him that lesson.

The F is a wilbon or kornheiser thing, believe it comes from wilbons use of jordans middle name back in the day, although in mcnabb's case it is made up (does he even have a middle name?)

Wow, they're still on the air? I used to work for an ESPN affiliate and Tony K's voice sent shivers down my spine.
