Holy shit, week 6 has Broncos versus Jags. This could be the first time a team gets to triple digits (unless they pull Peyton in the first)

Would love to see Jax win somehow. Will never happen but it would be funny to see everyone losing their mind.

How do you even prepare for this game if you're Jacksonville? Do you just say "aww, fuck it" and start watching tape of your week 7 opponent?

I think Jacksonville would benefit from watching tape on the Broncos; it might remind them how to play football.

Against three bad teams and one mediocre team. Their schedule is really weak this year, but eventually they will have to play some decent teams.

I hate morons that say things like this.

They played 4 NFL teams. They have already played 4 decent teams.

Weak is an understatement.

They won't play a team with a winning record until week 7 assuming Indy doesn't lose the next 2, which could happen (vs SD and Seattle). Weeks 2-8 include all 4 NFC East teams, Oakland and Jacksonville. Next week against Dallas might be a fair challenge for them but only enough for them to break a sweat. Everyone will still pencil it in as a win and rightly so.

It's a valid point. Sure, the Jacksonville Jaguars might be better than any college or high school or pee-wee football team in the country. But there's only 32 teams in the NFL, and they aren't all equal. Within that group, some are going to be better and some are going to be worse. They aren't all "decent" with regards to each other, and since that's the competition, it's valid to consider the strength of schedule. The Broncos have dominated every game, but their opponents have a combined record of 4-12 (with half of those wins belonging to the Ravens); I think it's a fair point that the Broncos have faced some easy competition. To be fair, all of the unbeaten teams have had the benefit of facing teams like the Giants, or Jaguars, or Raiders, or Bucs, or Eagles. Would Denver still be unbeaten if they were facing the Seahawks, Patriots, Chiefs and Saints? Maybe so. But it would be a tougher row to hoe.

Thing is, the Broncos haven't really played a decent offense - granted, the Eagles did great week 1, but since then, they haven't looked good. Sadly, it doesn't look like they'll play a decent offense until New England - and hell, they haven't looked great on O either.

The real question is how deep is the Broncos bench and what injuries the team has to contend with.

Every week in the NFL you see important players go down. The Pats had a very deep bench and few key players went down in 2007. Even so by the time the Super Bowl rolled around they weren't the same team they were mid way thru the season.

He had flashes of that on a couple runs yesterday. I remember him throwing at least one guy off of him with one arm.

Whatever the NFC haters say, Seattle is scary good. They basically phoned in the first half, and their D was still able to step up in the second half and give Wilson a chance to bring them back. No idea what Carroll is doing with that defense, but it's been very exciting watching them fly all over the field every game.

Really looking forward to the Indy game.

I am not looking forward to the Seattle game. All Carroll has to do is bring the heat and the Colts will be in huge trouble. Even the Jags were getting decent pressure on Luck. There was one play where the second the ball was snapped, a Jags defensive lineman was through the line and bearing down on Luck. Fortunately Richardson picked him up.

I have a tradition where I go to this Mexican restaurant on weekends with my brothers when the Colts have a tough game and I order the same thing every time. I may have to do it for the Seattle game since it seemed to work for the 49ers game. Remember, it is only weird if it doesn't work.

Here is what disturbs me about this Jacksonville team. Yeah, they may have sucked last year, but they did win a couple of games and were at least competitive in many others. The effort was there much of the time.

This team? They're phoning it in and aren't even trying. For example, yesterday, the Colts lined up for a 51 yard field goal. The Jags line went offsides and gave the Colts a much easier 46 yarder. The asshole who went offsides for the Jags was standing over on the sidelines and laughing. They were already WAY down at this point too. That kind of attitude is NOT what you want on the team and I have to blame Gus Bradley. I thought Mike Mularkey (their coach last year) was a bad hire but I bet they'd be more competitive and shit like that would not be tolerated.

The Broncos were penciled in as having the easiest schedule coming into this season. This is of course why I tried to draft as many Broncos on my fantasy teams as possible. Great offense plus easiest schedule equals winning...

That's because as the season went on, teams figured out how to defense them. The Colts, Ravens, Eagles, and Giants all showed the blueprint for beating them in the regular season, but none could execute the game plan the entire 60 minutes and therefore, narrowly lost to them. The Giants learned from that and were ready for them in SB 42. You'll notice that up to the bye week (they beat the Colts 24-20 right before the bye), they were blowing everyone out except the Colts. They had a much tougher time after the bye week because teams like the Ravens and Giants were emulating what the Colts tried with their own twists.

Even with supposedly the Jags getting pressure on Luck. They still won 37-3...

You don't seriously think the Jags would cover, do you? On second thought, with odds that astronomical, it may not be a bad idea to bet on them.

hell no I don't think they will cover.

But you are right...if they do........

28 points is a pretty big spread. I mean what if they finally confirm that Peyton is a robot and ban him from the league before then?

The SD game could be interesting. It seems Rivers has remembered how to put points on the board again, even when he continues to put the ball on the ground...or in the wrong hands.

Well lets see. We've already played 4 games without our 2 best players on defense. And two of the top defensive players in the entire league. Champ should be back eventually and Von Miller will be back week 7 for the rest of the season.

We lost our Pro Bowl and easily one of the best Left Tackles in the league and haven't really noticed much of a change. Prior to the season starting we lost our starting center as well.

We didn't even have our top two receiving tight ends from last year until this last week where they were on the bench (Joel Dressen and Jacob Tamme) because of Julius Thomas breaking out.

This last week we were short Tony Carter on CB but we're still starting DRC, Kayvon Webster and Chris Harris who is one of the best in the slot - and oh, we were still missing Champ Bailey one of the best to ever play the game.

I'd say they're pretty deep.

Bottom line is we've already had injuries and suspensions as we started the season that way. We could just as easily have suffered through the worst of our injuries and just get way better once Von Miller gets off suspension.

rankings and history tell it differently

"Remember when the Dolphins went undefeated? Yea but they played 4 teams that weren't any good."

that doesnt matter NOW. we can look at that stuff now, but yeah it wont in 20 years if they pull off history(not saying they will)

That same logic could be applied to the Broncos

sure, the broncos have been blowing them all away though. bigtime.

the jags dont count as decent 😛
