Steelers-Vikings in London?

WLAF lives.

We've decided that we are not counting that game. So even when they lose, the Vikings will still be 0-3. Their season tickets are mis-numbered because of this game so I'm considering it non-existent.

I've already explained it numerous times. In a nutshell: place Brady on the Jags for a season and then Manning on the Jags for a season. Who do you think will have the better record? If you said Brady, you're wrong.

The fact that they could plug in a mediocre QB like Matt Cassel and still go 11-5 shows it. Without Manning, the Colts went through Kerry Collins, Curtis Painter, and Dan Orvlosky and could only win 2 games. Had Manning been on the team that year, they would've won 10 minimum.

Brady is a good QB. However, I want Patriots fans to be consistent. In the early 2000s, the argument was "Manning has better offensive weapons than Brady. If Brady had that offensive talent, he'd win even more Super Bowls! He has to carry the load now!" (this, despite the fact that his defense was excellent in those days). When Brady was finally given those offensive tools (Moss, Welker, etc) somewhat at the expense of defense, he couldn't win a single Super Bowl. Pats fans then started pointing fingers at defense, offensive line, coaching -- everyone except Brady. When Manning fans did that, it was "making excuses" according to Patriots fans. When Patriot fans do it, it is "analysis."

Of all the Patriots fans here, I believe only Butch has fessed up and been honest.

As far as Matt Cassel he had a good coach, system, and experienced receivers with Welker (over 100 catches with Cassel) and Moss, throw in a very soft schedule and a good defense, decent run game plus the fact that Cassel could actually run for a 1st down, (never a threat from Brady) and you get an 11-5 season from a rookie QB. As for the two lost SB's the Giants simply match up well against pass-heavy (see Patriots) offenses, Brady (specially in the 1st one) spent a lot of time eating turf or trying to avoid eating turf, credit where it's due, the Giants pass rush, nonetheless the team had a lead late in the 4th qtr in both games but it's a team game at the end of the day, Welker catches a catch-able ball and they win, he drops it. Asante Samuel lets a gift pick slide through his hands, the would have won the first one, he fails, they lose. Credit due to Eli who did make some clutch throws in both games. My point is it's a team game, maybe PM could have used some help from the Colts D in the early meetings to slow down the Patriots, he didn't get that help, I wouldn't say "Manning blew the game", no, the "team" lost. If your offense gets you a lead late in the 4th qtr in a SB game then the defense has to step up and make some plays and preserve it, what else could Brady have done in that situation, go out and play DB and bat down some passes??

The bucs bench Josh Freeman

This is what you get when a coach and QB hate each other. I'd think I would fire Schiano (can't spell his name) before I entertain trading Freeman.

None of the veteran players like playing for this guy. They all can't be wrong.

Peyton is still 1-4 in the playoffs when his team has the first week off, maybe denver should lose a couple more games this year

Gregg Easterbrook HATES Schiano, and probably for good reason.

I think he is gone before the end of the season.

The other players did nto even vote Freeman as captain this year. So even the other players do not like him.

That and freeman is making around 8m this year and is a free agernt next. I doubt many teams will try and trade for him. Hell be lucky to be a backup at less than a 1/3 of what he made this year next season.

I don't think he is good. I think he had one good season in 2010 and the league figured him out. He isn't smart enough or savvy enough to have adjusted over the last few seasons

After watching Mondays game vs the Raiders it's clear to me the Broncos are likely going to the SB, PM is a master of reading defense's and he has too many weapons to stop that offense, play the safeties deep?, fine, he calls a run play for a nice 5-6 yrd gain, bring the safeties closer to the line of scrimmage and he finds a one on one matchup and burns you down-field, the addition of Welker will push this team to the SB, as a Pat's fan it's tough to admit this but I'm seeing it unfold every game they play.

hmmm.. Broncos and Saints in the SB.... Manning vs Brees SB rematch. I like this.

Freeman is a perfect example of how sometimes the whole is lesser than the parts. He's a guy who has all the pieces to be a top qb. He has the arm, the release, the brains, etc, but when you put them together it just doesn't work.

Yeah, I simply don't see how people continue to think of Freeman as a good QB ... he's surrounded by good receivers, too.
