Bills at Jets? Is that even a pro game?

Hoping the Falcons get it together or else Miami will show them how far they have come.

Pats better make sure they beat Tampa Bay cause their schedule turns monster the next few weeks with the Falcons, Bengals and Saints the next three weeks.

they've got so many hi picks for next year now, sounds like they'll be able to take 2 guys in the top 10, figure 1 being whichever QB they want.

Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Peyton.

Those are the only 4 players I'd rank over Romo. If he wasn't a Cowboy, you wouldn't hate him or criticize him like people do. If Bryant could have caught a ball that was perfectly given to him last week, the Cowboys had that game. But no, Romo gets shit for the interception he threw at the very end.

Well Romo deserves to be called out for a number of bad throws that one game. If you still have it DVR'd, go look at the 2nd half. More than half his throws were bad to horrendous, and he's damned lucky there weren't more INTs to show for it. The blown open Dez near the goal line was a goof as well, but that could have been coach fail (even though a QB should have the go ahead to take the easy TD should the opportunity present itself).

I like Romo the person. I am a Cowboy fan. I cheer when he does well. But reliable he is most certainly not. All too often, and usually at the worst possible time, he simply collapses. Perhaps he makes a mistake and starts beating himself up about it. I have no idea. But I'd rank a worse athlete but smarter QB higher than him any day of the week.

What I mean by that is give me a QB that's a solid 7.5/10 week after week and makes few mistakes, above Romo, who can be a 9/10 one week, and a 2/10 the next week. Hell, not even week, he can Jekyll and Hyde over a single quarter. I know it's hard out there on the field. But has Romo *ever* shown a solid consistency in high-stress situations?

If he proves me wrong, I'll be damned happy. I was what, 17 when Dallas had their last SB. That's 19 years ago now, more than half my life. And Romo is not going to take them anywhere near one imho, bad coach or not. Romo can't help the O-line sucking. Romo can't help dumb play designs and game plans to much extent. Romo can't help when receivers drop passes right to the money. Romo can't do squat to help the defense (other than keeping the ball on O more). I'm not pinning it all on him by any stretch. Dallas has a LOT of problems that make them mediocre. I'm just sorry to say that he's one of them more often than he should be.

Bills are playing at about the same level as the Pats right now.

I would take jay cutler over tony romo any day. Now that cutler has an offensive line he looks like a completely different player.

Cutler was sacked 9 times by week 2 last year and pressured on every play. This year he has been sacked once. Huge difference.

Cutler also has a run game, while Dallas does not.

It's been 2 games. I don't disagree that the coach sucks, but Romo isn't as bad as people think he is.
Look, I'm a life-long cowboys fan, and he's mediocre at best. Could he win a superbowl? Sure, worse QBs have. Is he an elite QB? Hell no. Just because he's the best we've had since Aikman doesn't mean he's good.

Hence the Romo love/hate. You will never get a consensus on Romo, ever...

If he put up the numbers he has on another team, everyone would be slobbing him.

Absolutely. He had some bonehead plays in week 2 that almost cost the Bears the game, but overall it looks like a new offensive team. Having Hester only return kicks has been a great idea too, he finally got over himself.

No, not really. Why? Simple : he doesn't get the job done.

2006 Season :

The Cowboys played the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Wild Card playoff round on January 6, 2007. With the Cowboys trailing 21–20 on fourth-and-one with 1:19 left in the game, the Cowboys attempted a 19-yard field goal. Romo, the holder for the kick, fumbled the snap. He recovered the ball and attempted to run it in, but was tackled short of the first down marker, and turned the ball over on the Seattle 2-yard line. The Cowboys went on to lose the game. Romo finished the 2006 season ranked seventh in the NFC in passing yards (2,903) and touchdown passes (19).

2007 Season :

In the Cowboys' January 13, 2008 Division playoff game against the New York Giants, Romo was unable to lead his team to a come-from-behind victory. On 4th down with less than half a minute and no timeouts left, Romo threw the ball into the endzone, but it was intercepted by Giants cornerback R. W. McQuarters, ensuring that the Cowboys were eliminated from the playoffs with a 21–17 loss.

2008 Season :

In what became a de facto third playoff game for Romo shortly prior to its start, on December 28, 2008, Romo and the Cowboys failed to compete against the Philadelphia Eagles in a 44–6 loss. Romo committed three turnovers in the game and went 21/39 for 183 yards and no touchdowns. The loss dropped Romo's combined record in December to 5–8 and again raised questions concerning Romo's performance in games of consequence.

2009 Season :

In the NFC divisional against the number two seed Minnesota Vikings, Romo had three fumbles (losing two), an interception and was sacked six times in the 34-3 loss.

2010 Season :

Injured, not much to say.

2011 Season :

In the season finale in New York, the winner between the Cowboys and Giants would take the NFC East title and a spot in the playoffs, while the loser would be eliminated from playoff contention. Romo started the game despite the hand injury the previous week. Romo posted 29 out of 37 passing for 289 yards, two touchdowns and one interception for a 106.0 QB rating and a 78% pass completion rate (second highest of the season) as the Cowboys lost the game 31-14, dropped to an 8-8 record and were eliminated from playoff contention.

2012 Season :

Daniel Jeremiah, an NFL.com analyst, ranked Romo as the 9th best quarterback in the league heading into the 2012 season. The controversial 2012 NFL Top 100 ranked Romo as the 12th best quarterback in the league going into the 2012 season.

Dallas and the Washington Redskins had a two-way tie of 8-6 records atop the NFC East. Those teams would face each other in Week 17, and the winner would take the NFC East title. Dallas lost that crucial game 28-18 to Washington. With overall 20-for-37 passing, Romo threw a total of three interceptions, including on Dallas' first two drives. With 5:50 left and down 21-10, Romo made a touchdown pass to Kevin Ogletree and two-point conversion pass to Dwayne Harris. After Dallas took over with 3:33 left down 21-18, Romo threw an interception to Redskins linebacker Rob Jackson, and Washington would clinch the victory with a touchdown.

Jesus Christ. Seriously. I mean I really want him to do well. The facts are just this : he has failed over and over and over and over again to NOT collapse under pressure. And this boggles my damned mind :

Season 2013 :

Dallas Cowboys have given Romo a 6-year extension worth $108 million, with 55 million guaranteed and $25 million in bonuses. Yep, at AGE 33 AFTER SEVEN PREVIOUS YEARS OF FAILURE.

Whaaaat? Every single one of his 'achivements' are solely regular season in scope. Playoffs? Collapse. Win to get in the playoffs? Collapse.

Bottom line is he's likeable but I think you'd have a hard time finding anyone in the NFL that would have him in their top 5. Probably not even top 7. In December? Not even top 20. I'd take old boy Jesus Tebow over Romo in a pressure situation.

I'm really looking forward to Sunday night's game. The Steelers are talent-deficient this year, but they are going to put up a desperate fight. If they go 0-3 it's over for them this year.

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that, if everything continues as it is, the Bears won't need to think about drafting a singlre offensive lineman next year. That is unreal. They'll be able to load up on D linemen and DBs and hope some stick.

Getting two O-line starters in one draft is pretty incredible considering their recent history.

If the cowgirls could ever get a consistent running game, the romo doubters would probably be much less in numbers. Him having to virtually single handily win a game or two at the end of every year to get into the playoffs has cause some risky play.

Jason Garrett has been a part of a lot of these failures as well....horrible coach, how is he still employed?

The Lions have NEVER won in Washington. Bush might be out, Fairley might be out.

Where's Buba Baker when you need a guaranteed win.

A few people were saying that on Twitter last night.

I wouldn't be surprised if Leshore ended up in Cleveland.

LOL -- I read he was interested in being traded, but the Lions don't accomdate players, as the example of Barry Sanders comes to mind.

He hasn't earned playing time... he's a decent pass-catcher, but has zero quickness and has somewhat of a Pettigrew fumbling/dropping syndrome.

He saw the writting on the wall when Bush wa signed....a MAJOR upgrade!
