Houston is probably the only legit contender out of the group but they should have lost to the Skins. Consider they had to

1) Convert 4th and 10 on a jump ball TD; that doesn't happen against teams with good secondaries.
2) Block their first FG, ever (Skins special teams just blow).
3) Have Skins miss a FG in OT on the 2nd try after the kicker already made it but it was negated due to a TO.

Houston got lucky against the Skins, but I suppose part of that is the Skins not being able to close out. At any rate, I think the Texans are a definite playoff team but I'd be mildly surprised if they do win the AFC South. They have a tough schedule (maybe tougher than the Colts) and I think they'll come crashing down to earth next week against the Cowboys, who are pretty much playing in a must-win game.

And based on what I saw of the Colts last night, I think Houston caught them at the right place at the right time. I hope, at least, that the Colts we saw last night are the ones who show up the rest of the season. They were just shockingly unprepared against the Texans and I don't think you'll see the Texans beat them in Indy.

Yeah, it couldn't be that the Steelers D is good, its that Titans are bad

Believe me, I know they are good. But those picks Vince threw would not have been thrown by an average NFL passer. It goes both ways and back to my point about starting QBs.

It was just one of those days. No NFL team should ever turn the ball over that many times regardless of how good a defense is.

At least he was honest "we sucked", no cheap excuses, didn't help the officials who had a "let 'em play" attitude in the first half started giving out huge chunks of yardage to the jets on tic-tac PI calls. But we saw this sometimes last year too, Pats come out of the gate strong only to go flat as a pancake in the 2nd half, if they don't fix it might be a 8-8 year at best..

With Revis out for the 2nd half, Brady got tempted to go deep. He took the bait. Really, I think Brady is spoiled by Moss from 07. It seems that he is just infatuated with him, so he just ignores everyone else and gives him the ball. Some of teh passes that went his way would not go that way if someone else was receiving. He even ignored Welker by the time the 2nd half came. By the time 3rd down came, the Jets knew they just had to cover everyone soft because they are not going to run with on 3rd with Faulk out of the game. It's very disappointing, because they have a sh!tload weapons on the passing game, but it seems like it gets ignored at times.

I watched much of the game, and other than the one-handed TD, it looked like Moss really didn't care or want to be there. I saw him short-arm many catchable balls from Brady and he made no effort on some that were maybe slightly overthrown but in years past, he would've caught them.

Absolutely agreed. I remember getting pissed in the late part of the 07 season, because it became all about Moss. Spreading the ball around worked so much better.

I am super excited about packers vs bears on monday night next week. i think the packers are a better team overall, but the bears looked good yesterday and the packers have not show much consistency. if they play like the second half packers yesterday they will win easily, but if they play like the first half packers or how they did vs the eagles i don't think they can pull it off.

on the other had its not like the bears have been consistent either. either way, i love the packers-bears rivalry.

oh and i also love that the vikings are getting a dose of what had to live with for years from Brett. He will always be one of my all time favorite packers, but its nice for him to be causing some other team to rip there hair out in frustration right now.

I would normally say the Packers by 2 TDs, minimum, but this is a bitter rivalry and no matter how good or bad a particular team is, they always play each other tough.

yup. thats one of the reasons i love the games. i wish i could sit here and be confident that the packers would win but i know that in these games records dont matter. look at the 07 season. the packers went 13-3 and 2 of the loses came against the bears(i dont remember the bears record but i dont think it was good). its not like the bears were better then the packers, they just wanted those 2 games more. it makes for very exciting(if not heart attack inducing) games.

I picked a very bad week to sit pittburgh defense in both my leagues for Dallas :p - Whoulda thunk I would pick the one week where Jay Cutler doesn't have any turnovers. Luckily still won in both FF leagues I'm in with over 100 pts each.

Also noticed Vince Young wasn't playing for tennessee, what happened there?

Packers are still adjusting to a new running back, really sucks for them that Grant is out for the season. I don't know who else they have in terms of running backs.

Saints is an easy pick, especially after how the 49'ers got destroyed last week against the Seahawks.

I don't remember seeing him/her, but I do remember the helmet dispute. If I'd have been that fan, I'd have been pissed over the way it was handled. IMO, it was his...

edit: apparently he was given a game ball in exchange for the helmet. Not quite as good of a souvenir, but better than going away empty handed...

That is a lady on the right and her face looks very very similar to a girl I went to high school with, but I don't think it is her.

Someone could have been seriously hurt. The Giants, at a bare minimum, should send the guy a helmet autographed by the whole damn team.

dude, it's not a foul ball. no sport other than baseball lets you keep stuff.

check that - you can keep a hockey puck. but not a helmet

Someone explain to me the logic behind Andy Reid stating that Kolb is the starter next week? How? Vick was a machine this last week and got them the win last week.

Is he oblivious or arrogant?

He is old school and is probably from the school of thinking that a QB never loses his job because of injury. Nevermind that Kolb was terrible.

To possibly make Kolb prove he gets to keep his starting position? To make the final call so to speak?

All QB's do well vs the Lions defence , 107 qb rating or higher in last 18 games
