You know what I just realized, when you swim in mediocrity, that's what you'll become. That's what this game is.

Eh, Rams got a few bad calls but they killed themselves. Seattle is the worst rushing team in the NFL and they allowed them like 140 yards and they let some backup QB with his 2nd start ever to burn them. In addition, they dropped a ton of passes and had the really bad INT. They could have challenged that horrible spot too since they still had both challenges.

They have Steven Jackson too. I have no idea why they didn't run the ball so much more. It would have helped settle down Bradford and tighten up the defense.

Best news for the Colts is that they can't face the Patriots before the AFC championship game if they get that far.

a true believer.

oh wait...

huh?

cause I didn't pay $100+ for the ticket i'm not a true fan? ok.....

Just saying in hind sight (which of course is always 20-20) it would have been a fun game to go to. Never said I doubted them though nice try @ reading between the lines I guess...

I was just wondering about Charlie Whitehurst the other day, wondering where he ended up. I saw him play a couple of times before when he was with SD and he was really good both times. I might have picked Seattle to win if I knew he was playing.

Somewhat of a lame week 17. Bad football beats any other sports on a good day, though 🙂

Hard to imagine anyone will be able to beat the Pats this year.

I wonder if all the away teams will win next week. I just noticed Seahawks are a 10 point favorite over the saints? That can't be right.

Wish more teams played in domes...it's hard to predict games where you don't know what the weather will be like. Snow shakes up everything.

Well probably more wishfully hoping than anything. I don't want a good QB in the NFC North.

That being said I think he's long for Arizona.

Yeah, I forgot he lives in Arizona. I think you're right especially since (IIRC) Fitzgerald's contract is up and McNabb may be their only hope of retaining him.

Looks like the Saints get a feast of Seahawk next weekend. It could get really ugly. I am still in shock at how horrible the NFC West is. Look at the teams below with equal or better records that didn't make the playoffs (excluding the Rams):

Dolphins
Jags
Chargers
Raiders
Bucs

The Texans, Titans, Cowboys, Skins, and Lions were all 6-10 and I'd bet all 5 are better than the Seahawks too.

if the Seahawks lost that game they would have had the #8 overall pick in the draft, instead they won and get to host a playoff game 🙄

I don't have a problem with division winner getting into the playoffs, but to automatically get to host...

As a steelers fan, I hope that Baltimore and Indy win this week. That way baltimore gets to play NE.

The steelers can handle baltimore or Indy no problem, and baltimore has a much better chance of beating NE than we do.

GO RAVENS! 😛

The Saints are going to have a field day next Saturday. The only factor going against the Saints is the fact that the game is going to be outdoors and the weather is gonna be pretty messy.

That and I think Brees has been drinking a little too much Nyquil because he is running for mayor of pick city this year.

Find a rookie QB who put up those types of numbers in their first starts on a team that surrendered over 95 points in those games.

Also a rookie that made a 17 point comeback in his first starts

And almost pulled off another one against the #1 defense in the NFL. Tebow's and Bradford's passing stats are actually quite similar, even though Bradford has 13 more games of starting experience. The most passing experience of any rookie in history, actually, but you wouldn't know it by comparing their stats from the past three weeks.

Tebow did play the worst pass defense, true, but he also played the two best. Bradford has played the 17th, 24th, and 27th in the past three weeks. Toss in Tebow getting a TD every tenth time he runs the ball, and the least you can say is that Bradford is not clearly performing far better, as people said he would, as you would expect from the #1 pick versus the #25 pick. Let's also don't forget that, although the Broncos surrendered 95 points and the Rams 60, both men came out of those games with the same record. I could go on, but I don't want to spend all day at this.

Picking up Tebow was brilliant, even if he never makes it as a starting QB. He was worth the risk. So much blue sky if he can get things going- far more than your average #25. Far more than your average #1, even. Proclaiming him the new Elway just yet is stupid, but not as stupid as people who mindlessly rag on him when he's just started. He's talented and driven, he's a proven winner, and he still may become a very good QB someday.

At the very worst, he could almost certainly be a starting TE on all but a few teams, and that's worth what they paid. One thing he will almost certainly not be is a complete and total bust. I would probably have taken him earlier than 25 if I could have.

The NFC West is strange. They're an awful division, yet they're also the only division in the NFC to send two teams to the Super Bowl.

Does not compute.

Know what else doesn't compute? When you turn your team around, win all your divisional games, improve by over 200 points in scoring differential, and finally find a type of football that suits your personnel and yet you STILL are likely to get fired.

Tom Cable deserves better based on the the Raiders' performance this year and it's the last bit of proof anyone needs to see that Al Davis is incapable of running a football franchise.

I'm not sure I understand the bolded. Do you mean in the last decade? The NFC East has sent 2 teams (Eagles, Giants) to the Super Bowl this past decade, and the South sent 3 (Bucs, Saints, Panthers).

The Raiders are insane if they fire him.
