I'm confused. You don't know how many games there are, but you are concerned with TO's stats?

Lol yeah he's my favourite player. I don't follow the game but I follow him :) I read an article saying he was nearing 1k yards so I wondered how many games left.

more like same thing as what happened in the colts game last year, you've got 2-3 starting DBs out and the other team runs 4-5 routes on you every play.

LOL!

How about just admitting the Jets were embarrassed and played like crap instead of making excuses? I may be a Colts homer, but I admit it when they suck as they have the last few weeks.

I haven't read the entire thread since I logged off last night, but up until that point, you were claiming the Pats "bought" the refs. Now you blame injuries for the debacle. Tell me, did Revis get burned and have to fake another hamstring injury? :D

It's also amazing how the Colts, who were missing something like 10 players, nearly won the game against the Pats and only lost by 3.

Who do you want to win here (aside from an earthquake)?

Honestly, I didn't really care who won. I did nearly bet Lupi on the game because he took issue with me saying that I would never bet against Brady in a game like this (unless, of course, it is against the Colts :awe: ). Too bad, between the bet in P&N with Spidey that I missed out on and this bet, I could've had a NICE Christmas. :D

And no, Lupi, you wouldn't have "gotten me" with any bet, no matter how twisted you might have worded it because before I would've ever agreed, I would've spelled it out very clearly (including the date of the game) and you would've owed me.

at least let sanchez toss an interception every other series so I can feel like an indy fan.

That's interesting, because Sanchez tossed 3 INTs vs. the Pats like Manning did -- except, of course, Manning nearly won the game, unlike Sanchez. :D

For you guys who monitor trends, the last 5 AFC Super Bowl representatives have been:

Steelers (40) --> Colts (41) --> Patriots (42) --> Steelers (43) --> Colts (44)

Hmmmm, if that trend continues, guess who represents the AFC in SB 45?

I'm not sure why so many people thought the game was going to be close last night. I called it yesterday morning that the Jets were going to get their ass kicked. The Pats have been an entirely different team since they got their ass kicked by the browns (lol).

I think BB must have sodomized half the team after that loss. :D

Sorry, you'll get your chance in Super Bowl 46. That's the Super Bowl that is scheduled to be held here in Indy -- if there is a season. :( I had an inside track on possibly volunteering for that game and getting to be there for free, too.

Wow....that was like watching the Pats face a practice squad.

Jet's are going through the bandwagon phase. You have the real fans who can see that the Jets have been extremely lucky that past games (before that pats), then you have the bandwagon fans who fall for all the hype and think the Jets were truly worthy of their 9-2 (now 10-3) record.

Anyways, the Pats just exploited the Jets all night. Great corners, yeah, then we just force them to play soft. It was not hard to see why Brady had a great night. The Jet's D could easily be read. When you have Brady at QB (or any experienced QB for that matter), you cannot let your D do that. I find it funny that Rex Ryan said he felt great during practice, because it seemed like they did not prepare well at all. In fact, it looks Holmes was the only guy who practiced all week.

As for Lupi, LOL. Now you know why the Pats do not trash talk in public. You lose much more than a game if you cannot back up the trash talk.

LOL....sure, but I still am suspect of the Pat's D. Last night they were handed a game because Sanchez made horrible decisions and the Jets had this obsession with running the ball when they should have just threw it. Why don''t they just challenge the pat's young secondary? You had nothing to lose because you already lost the game already. Instead, they just kept running the ball and playing a short passing game.

I am suspect of them too, but there isn't a dominant team this year so they have as good a chance as any team to represent the AFC. It isn't even out of the realm of possibility for a team like San Diego or (gasp) the Colts to run the table and do some damage in the playoffs, though in all seriousness, I don't think the Colts will get enough players back by then to do serious damage. On the bright side for the Colts, maybe this season will cause Polian to pull his head out of his butt and maybe he will rebuild the offensive line through FA and the draft, get a good LB or two, and add more depth at CB. Don't be surprised if the Colts are a 12+ win team again next year if they're healthy and he makes some good decisions.

P.S. Jeff Fisher, please don't put up with Bud Adams' crap. Come to Indy! We can fire Coyer and you can be our DC!

Both have tough schedules to finish the season.

Jets - Miami, Chicago, Steelers, Buffalo

NE - Chicago, Green Bay, Buffalo, Miami

the bears/pack race for the division title is rough too. obviously both play the pats.

I'm worried about the bears against the pats, but I knew the Jets were weak after the last few weeks.

wes welkers little cross and hitch routes could absolutely make the POS Tampa II fall apart

I only watched the first half before calling it a night (tired from fighting the snow) but that was brutal enough. Pats D played better than I expected out of them but the Jets just plain sucked at everything. Blown field goals, wasted challenges, horrible punts...LOL. I was going to watch the taped second half tonight but I figured the Pats would have to play just as awful in the second half as the Jets did in the first, which would be quite the feat. I accidentally read the score in a newspaper on the toilet...ouch.

Also, Danny Woodhead is a beast.

We? As in jets? Where have I heard this "we've already beat them" thing before tonight's game against the Pats... hmmm

.. no "we" as in the Patriots, beat the steelers already. Not really sure how you possibly thought I would be referring to myself and the Jets as we...

Dan Snyder should throw a few million my way, I bet I could provide a better ROI than Hanyesworth has.

The Bears have really been playing great their last few games. When Cutler has some confidence and a little protection, the offense runs like a well-oiled machine. The defense has been fantastic too, there is no stopping Peppers when he's pumped up.

But, there has been more than one game earlier this season where the Bears were just embarrassing. The offense falls apart with no blocking and Cutler tries to force the ball all over the field. The defense has had their low points as well. Some teams pick them apart with those 6,7,8 yard passes that the D can't seem to stop and it kills them all day long.

Hopefully the Bears can keep their momentum and confidence and continue to play at the level we have seen them at recently. I am afraid they may fall apart and return to their old ways like they always seem to do. :(

Martz has been actually calling a balanced offense. Lots of (very successful) run plays and not over the top complicated pass plays. Tice has also really improved the OL. No clue what he did or how he did it...but this unit is not the same one on the field early in the season.

So, early Superbowl predictions?
#1 AFC Seed should end up being either Patriots or maybe Steelers. While the Patriots looked great last night, they did also lose to the Browns. With 4 games remaining, they have 2 tough opponents left but get them at home and the Steelers have only 1 tough opponent left. Because of an earlier head to head, if they finish with the same record Patriots get home field advantage and I think the Superbowl representation.

#1 NFC seed should be the Atlanta Falcons. Only team that should challenge Falcons is Saints. But while Falcons have 4 remaining games of Panthers twice, Saints, Seahawks. The Saints have remaining games of Tampa Bay, Ravens, Falcons, Rams. Saints remaining is much harder.

So if the #1 seeds end up winning through playoffs and meet, I think we'd see a Falcons v Patriots Superbowl. In that game I'd have to give it to the Falcons. Mainly because Falcons would have a playoff road through the easier NFC and their home games would be in Atlanta in a dome. And New England would have a playoff road at home in the cold, cold weather in New England which would likely put them more prone to injuries.

That's my prediction at least. Hope I don't jinx the Falcons with that!

yeah. would be nice. I hate the patriots. I was out in Boston during championship week in 06 when it was bears v whoever and colts/pats and the pats fans treated me like utter dogshit even though of course, we werent even playing them

Sorry, only if you have old peanuts to sell him in bulk.

Bankrupt Airline Peanuts: What Snyder was selling to fans at FedExField. During the 2006 season, vendors offered shelled nuts in royal blue and white 5 oz. bags adorned with the Independence Air logo. Problem: The airline had gone under about a year earlier. The supplier told Washington City Paper that it stopped shipping the airline’s nuts “before Independence Air went out of business.” A spokesman for the Peanut Council told City Paper that to prevent rancidity, the recommended shelf life of a foil bag of out-of-shell peanuts was “about three months.”

Bears played the Saints in the NFC Championship that year.
