I would like to say that the Steelers win anther one today despite the fact that someone last week said that the Steeler fans all cry about the refs. We don't cry about the refs because we win most of the time not the redskins.

Tebow is so weird. He doesn't pass especially well but his team wins all the time. At the very least, he has good "leadership skills" as the defense is playing better than they used to.

The scary thing is that they play against crappy run defenses in the next 2 games so they could conceivable be tied for the division lead in a couple of games if the teams don't adjust to this 90% run/10% pass mix.

I have to admit the coaches are doing the right thing now. If he sucks at passing, just run the ball all the time.

It's week 10 and the Colts have Luck locked up already. If Manning can get around 5-6 picks, with 3 1sts, the Colts might think about trading him to save some money since the Colts haven't really been doing so well in the last few years before his current injury.
 
Lol, I love Hester. He's ridiculous.

Risky calls are just that. If they work, you look like a genius, which is what happened here. If you don't make it (like Mike Smith), then you get grilled.

That's what I would do. Everyone is saying that the new rules are trying to make it necessary for teams to have a top flight QB. My feeling is that the rules are making so you only need a solid QB to have a sufficiently potent offense, and dilutes the effect of a truly brilliant one. The Colts would be the best off if they could trade the top pick for a 1st and second rounder in 2012 and a 2013 1st rounder. As a Pats fan however, I hope they continue to put all of their money and draft picks into a select few players (even if Luck turns out to be really good).

They are totally tanking though. It's really quite disgusting. I can almost hear Irsay muttering, "Yes, stay the course. We're bound to win eventually. Muahahahahah."

Would be the smart thing to do. Colts already screwed themselves over for Peyton's reign by putting all their eggs in his basket. Best way to win multiple championships is to have an actually decent team, and such a team that doesn't revolve around one player. The patriots fell into that trap after their last Superbowl by putting too much stock in Brady and not enough back into the defense.

Drafting Luck would likely mean Manning 2.0, but I don't see another player, Luck included, ever being as MVPish as Manning was.

IMO the Colts best shot at another Superbowl in the forseeable future would be to trade the #1 pick and give weapons to Manning.

Although if they want to be relevant on into the distant future, it wouldn't be crazy to trade Manning as well and just start building a powerhouse from scratch with the insane number of picks they'd be guaranteed. Wouldn't need Luck then, you could easily settle for a Barkley or whomever as they'd be chock full of top talent that way and far less reliant on the success/failure/well being of one player like they have been with Manning, and would likely be with Luck.

Raiders already traded away their 1st round picks, and I don't see any other team dumb enough to trade that many picks away for an iffy Manning who has at best maybe 5 years left, not all of which are where he's certain to be a top 5 QB.

Yes, Luck is horrible. It would be like drafting Jamarcus Russell. He will be the biggest waste of a top pick ever.

Those dropped passes and slips last night are indicative of a horrible QB.

The Colts would be wise to listen to my advice.
 
Man, the Bears/Lions game got pretty fricking ugly.

And Brenneman needs to get sick and die any time now.
