He has only won 1 and they aren't the best if they don't win when it matters.

"Just 1 superbowl"
Just admit you are a hater and we can move on. I suppose Dan Mario would hate himself if he only won 1 superbowl. Megatron and Barry Sanders I suppose can't be mentioned as one of the best at their positions because hell, they never even went!

Well, I guess a lot of people in the Panthers organization are children.

It could also be said that bringing a sign like that to a rival teams stadium is childish. But, it seems you are very selective in whom you call a child.

If you really do care about this topic, honestly, there is nothing wrong with picking up a book on this or even just talking to a couple of African Americans you work or are friends with and asking them about their perceptions on this topic or what they do to fit in at work if anything at all. I'm done with it.
Do you realize how many stadiums allow banners? Almost all of them. If Carolina doesn't allow them they're idiots. It's football tradition all the way from high school and up to display banners. Also, if that was really their policy then why did Carolina reimburse the guy?

One of my black friends posted a long scathing post about cam pulling the race card last week. If you'd like a screenshot, PM me.

He sucked against a bad pats defense so yes.

I can't wait till he throws another sealing pick six just like he did against the Saints. That was one of the greatest days ever, but not as great as his utter humiliation against the Seahawks.

People need to get over their assumption that he is actually good. He is paid the big money to win the big games, which he will more often than not lose. He ran up all of his huge stats against shitty ass teams. It is kind of like a full size person fighting a midget. The full size person should ALWAYS win.
You realize that it's not a fluke that he is "paid the big money to win the big games" because his teams actually make it to the big games more often than not. Once you get into the playoffs, it's a coin flip who wins unless you have a superlative scheme like the pats. Almost all other teams equate to a coin flip.

Calling PM the best ever is probably a stretch. The best ever was and always will be Super Joe unless Brady can win a few more.

Yes, I do hate him. I have never hid that. The best ever are actually the best, not just mediocre.

Football is a team sport. The performance of the entire team outweighs one person's achievement. Many top performers of their respective position have belonged on teams that consistently fail to get to the big game.

You should also add Larry Fitzgerald and Adrian Peterson to the list of players you hate.

Hey maybe start with this article from NFl.com

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...arization-the-truth-about-race-at-quarterback

Here's one quote on having to assimilate as I was telling you about earlier
It's freedom we're talking about here, the kind that every minority longs to feel in a world where assimilation is too often the only route to the top.

and another quote that echoes my comments on Wilson

It's harder to quantify how many of those black quarterbacks have felt free enough to show us their true personalities. Wilson already has faced heavy criticism for being too generic, unwilling to say anything that might upset people and even enduring a backlash from unidentified teammates who tagged him as not being "black enough."

I hate Peterson for completely different reasons. He should not have a job right now...

I also have a list of people that I would throw a party for if they were to die a premature death 🙂

And once again you're wrong, and the reason your black author believes race has anything to do with it according to espn:
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/1...cam-newton-criticized-more-field-actions-race
Nearly two out of three people overall -- 62 percent -- believe any criticism of Newton is because of his style of play on the field (63 percent of white fans and 38 percent of black fans). Only 14 percent think it's because of his race.

The number of people who think race is part of how Newton is perceived is significantly higher among blacks who responded to the survey -- 34 percent think criticism is racially based, while 38 percent think it's for his flashy style.

ESPN calling out blacks for pulling the race card like cam. In fact 1 in 3, epic lulz. And Russ Wilson not being "free to show us his personality"? lmao. It couldn't be because he said God spoke to him to date Ciara or God spoke to him during the last Superbowl? He's a Christian which means he's not going to act egotistical like a child and will always show humility. That is who he is. Not a showboating child.

This is the reason I dislike talking about race on this forum. I'm trying to figure out your end goal here. Why are you so invested in trying to win this argument. It doesn't seem it is to discuss it to try to understand a differing perspective on it. I'm somewhat confused, maybe you can tell me why you are so invested it.

Let me say this and maybe it'll help you make sense of the poll(if that is what you are attempting to do). When I first saw Cam, I thought he was overly cocky. I didn't like him because of it. But I had a discussion with a friend of mine which gave me a differing perspective. He simply asked me if Aaron Rodgers or even JJ Watt got the same scrutiny. Hmm.. Both are arrogant and both overly cocky. Why is Cam being repeatedly called a child while we see the discount double check on every other commercial? It actually shaped my view on it. I treated Cam differently, not because his actions differed sharply from other people in his position, but because that is what I had been socialized to believe was not acceptable behavior for a black person. Whether it's not acceptable because it draws too much attention to himself and therefore all the criticism is his to begin with, or whether it's because of some more nefarious imagery it draws up in my mind; I'm still try to figure out. What I'm trying to say, race in this country especially for those who are shades of black is more complex than a simple poll can state. A good follow up question for those black respondents would have been, why do you feel it is the fault of his actions.

lmao. Yeah having a list of people he hopes will die shows that he cannot forgive. That's a bit psychopathic to boot.

BTW spread has now jumped from 4.5 to 6 at most places.

Don't be surprised if Denver covers.

I can only see them covering or winning outright if the Under (45) also pays. If it's the Over, personally I would give Denver zero chance whatsoever with that mediocre offense. You gotta think a high score favors CAR, perhaps even in a blowout. The low scoring wins over the Steelers and Pats seem like the template if DEN is going to win this thing.

i don't have to "win" anything, the facts from ESPN are damning. > 1 in 3 blacks want to pull the race card like cam and say he's criticized because of the color of his skin. And this despite the fact that he is the 4th straight black QB to play in a SB. But hey, at least he backpedaled yesterday:
"I don't even want to touch on the topic of black quarterback, because I think this game is bigger than black, white or even green. So I think we limit ourselves when we just label ourselves just black, this, that and the third."

Maybe cam's life coach is paying off.

4th? Even if you count Kaep (he's mixed race with black father) that's still only 3 unless you're counting Wilson twice. Because if you go back to SB XLVI neither Eli nor Brady is black unless I really need new glasses.

Hey everyone, look at me!

"It's flashy, and it shows he thinks a lot about fashion and style - but he doesn't have any," says celebrity stylist Robert Verdi.

"Wearing those jeans does not make you a fashion plate," he adds. "It makes you someone with a lot of money who doesn't know what to buy."
...
He made headlines last month when he sported $2,000 Christian Louboutin loafers (sans socks) that were studded with gold spikes for a press conference.

And Newton has famously worn $200 fur tails designed by the Exclusive Game store in Atlanta clipped to his belt at press conferences. Some reports estimate he’s paid more than $12,000 on the posh pelts
Oh man, he's part furry now. And people slammed RG3 for being a primadonna. This will be funny in a few years when cam is run into the ground after taking too many hits (like RG3). If he wins the SB his transformation into the Kanye west of the NFL will be complete. The difference? Kanye's career can't be ended on a bad hit. I think this is the reason why *most* nfl players are humble, they know the reality is that they are lucky to be healthy and just on the field and it can be taken from them at any given moment. Mocking your opponent only gives them more incentive to end your career.

Yeah 4th straight year a QB has played in the SB if you count Russ twice.

Yeah sure, start a backup in the Superbowl when Manning is healthy.
No wonder you're not coaching football.
 I don't even have a fantasy team!

Should PManning have a horrendous start in the Super Bowl, will Kubiak have the balls to bench him for Osweiler? I wonder if the Panthers even have a game plan for Osweiler.

No, RG3 criticized his team in the media. Cam has yet to do that to my knowledge.

And you think NFL players are humble? Ha!

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Jets "have not and are not interested" in Colin Kaepernick.

The NY Daily News reported Tuesday that Kaepernick wants to play for the Jets. Although La Canfora reports the feeling isn't mutual, he does note new 49ers coach Chip Kelly "has done nothing to build a relationship" with Kaepernick, and a trade "remains very likely." Per La Canfora, Kap "has wanted out" "for quite some time," and a divorce is "impending." Kaepernick is 28 years old and has accounted for 67 career touchdowns. Even with his lofty contract, we suspect the 49ers could net a second-day draft pick if they get serious about shopping him.
WTF is up with Kap? Chip Kelly could turn this clown's career around and he's already asking for a trade. Guy must be a total head case and you have to wonder if he tanked the season on purpose just to make a point to 9er brass that he wants to go.
