No he didn't get it, homer. It was a shitty call.

You couldn't tell for sure. Luck picked it up and had it ahead of him from the back view, but you couldn't tell where he was at that point in relation to the plane of the goal line.

It's OK, your shitty team is not gonna get anywhere far.     :p

We have something in common then. I look forward to more butthurt 49ers fans when they get shitcanned in the playoffs.

Anyways, I just turned this shitty game between two shitty teams off. That was clearly a catch, he caught the ball, two feet inbound before the third step out of bound. Play should be dead at that point, they didn't give it to him.

I will now go watch paint dry, much more satisfying.

And, you have nothing in common with me, your shitty team is just a shitty team. Period.

There was no excuse for them to revert that call after reviewing. That was pretty shitty.

The commentator was wrong when he said that the third foot down ends the play and anything after that doesn't matter.

Rule book:

Item 2: Sideline Catches. If a player goes to the ground out-of-bounds (with or without contact by an opponent) in the process of making a catch at the sideline, he must maintain complete and continuous control of the ball throughout the process of contacting the ground, or the pass is incomplete.

yeah. that was fucked up. that was NOT a TD and they didn't even seem to review it. Then the guy had 2 feet in then the 3rd out of bounds and they say it wasn't a catch?

i don't blame the coach for being pissed.

Rule book:

tahts during a catch. 2 feed down and turning around and going foreword should makes it a catch,. At least it has EVERY time i have seen close plays like that.

He caught it. That was a bad call by the officials.

EDIT: Guess we're wrong. Mugs has it.

My team was the worst team in the league last year and has a good shot at the playoffs this year. But that's OK, enjoy thinking the 49ers will actually do something this year and act "shocked" when they get walloped in the playoffs with that minor-league QB of theirs.

He was going to the ground in the process of making the catch (his momentum was carrying him to the ground; at the point he made the catch, it was inevitable that he was going to end up on the ground). It doesn't matter if he had the ball secured before he hit the ground, he has to maintain control when he hits the ground. They call it that way every time.

You hear that bitches. Luck has as many rushing TDs as Cam Newto and Vick combined.

And that QB sneak was called a Td and upheld because there was no way to overturn it. Prolly shouldnt have been called a TD but it was so it couldnt be reversed

He maintained control BEFORE hitting the ground, him hitting the ground caused the ball to pop out, at that point the play should be over. His elbow hits the ground first.

Let's say if he was inbound, and the Colts D recovered the ball, it wouldn't have been a turn over.

I just thought about it and I do agree with you on one thing, that we'll be doing something in common come January and February, and that is watching the Niners play football.

I feel bad for Jaguars fans. Jacksonville has been getting BLASTED at all their home games this year, they have been outscored 44-153 at Everbank field. There is nothing good about the team at all, I think they are even worse than Kansas City. There is no way Blaine Gabbert is a starting quarterback next year, he freaking STINKS. Say what you want about David Garrard but at least he kept them somewhat competitive, it was a dumb move cut him last year.

i will remember this. Asshole.

LOL, blame your pal SSSnail. 49ers fans shouldn't talk smack when they have Alex Smith as their QB. You guys blew it big time by not getting Peyton Manning. That was probably 2 more Super Bowls for you.

Calling the Colts a "shitty" team when they're 6-3 with 37 new players, new coaching staff, new front office, and a new QB is rich. This team was the worst team in the league last year so forgive them if they lose a few games and don't look like perennial champions yet.

But hey, keep knocking bad teams who are trying to rebound and build. That's fine. It must burn you guys knowing that Alex Smith couldn't start for this bad team and would probably have to fight Stanton to capture the #2 slot.

At this point in teh season, I feel the super bowl will be between The Texans and Falcons.

I see the falcons struggling late season, but still winning the divison, with the bears and falcons getting the bye (Bear #1, Falcons #2). And the Falcons pulling off a lucky last minute win in the divisional round, then meet the Bears in the conferance championship and just steamroll them now that they got confidence in their first playoff win with Matt ryan.

I see the texans just eat through the AFC.

Texans > Falcons in strong running game and d-line knowns a JJ Watt in the SUper bowl.

Falcons will lose in the first round. Well, technically the second round since they'll have a first round bye.

I won't take the Falcons seriously until they can win some playoff games. I personally think it is between the Giants and Bears in the NFC with maybe a surprise run by the Packers in the cards.

If the Packers make a wildcard appearance, the other teams better watch out. They are starting to click again offensivly, and have plenty of defensive injuries (sound familiar? 2010-11 super bowl run)

However, the falcons have a lot of new support staff members. And as I said. It will just take that first win in the playoffs to put ease in their mind they can. And once that happens (and I did say it would be a lucky/close game) they would probably be the super bowl team.

I do not see the Giants pulling it off. They will win teh divison. No doubt about that. But I dont' see them going for a repeat.

49ers fans are probably shaking in their boots at the possibility of another massive smackdown at the hands of the Giants. For their sake, they'd better hope someone else takes the Giants down.
