Dat injury! Need high quality pics/vid plz.

How does a young strong kid's leg just give up on him like that?

Great day for Louisville, Men and Women. The women's team hit about 60 3 pointers. Griner was MIA for most of the game. Some real bad officiating all around but I think the more deserving team won.

That boy should've drank more milk while he was growing up. His bones aren't strong enough, so his legs are like fragile tree twigs.

Awesome win by Cards though. Total domination in the 2nd half. I got my money on Cards Vs. Orange, with Cards winning by 5.

10 hours old now but here's a pic of the injury: LINK (Warning: pretty Gruesome) goddamn. Strangely it doesn't really bother me looking at it, video was worse. Guess I've been desensitized from watching the walking dead 😛

Still kinda wonder how that would happen though, to a strong young guy. Like he must have some kind of bone deficiency or had cracks in the bone already?

Definitely looking like Michigan over Syracuse, Louisville over Wichita St, Louisville over Michigan. Then again I've been wrong pretty much the whole bracket.

Ware had successful surgery yesterday (2 hours) in which a rod was placed into his leg and the wound was closed up.

Damn, I wish I hadn't looked at that high res photo. Now I'm sick (and I already have the flu).

I was shivering just talking to someone on the phone about it this morning. I'm going to pass on the pick up bball game we usually have on Tuesdays this week. Need some mental rehabilitation first. 😉

Not that I have any medical background but it seems to me looking at his overall figure/frame that his leg broke because he was malnourished or lacking nutrition?

He looked like a stick figure to me so I initially thought his leg just decided to crap out on him and not because he planted it awkwardly.

Has some physicist explained how this happened? It didn't look like he landed bad to me.
long leg + landing at an angle + foot sticking to floor

torque > bone strength

pretty simple, Leg goes before the knee because knee ligs are stronger vs the bone

Obviously the torque was greater than his bone but his landing just didn't look weird. If anything I would have thought his ankle would have rolled over before his shin would have snapped.

That insane injury that happened to Kevin Ware could really help inspire Louisville to win it all, doesn't hurt that they have the best team in the nation, either. You've heard of "Win one for the Gipper", how about, "Win one for the Gimper!" 😛

A coworker explained that some players are genetically predisposed to small/tiny splintering of the bone which sets it up for a fracture during otherwise normal plays. Happens to football players as well.

i have michigan winning the tourney. a louisville loss would be great.

fuck a broken leg sympathy story.

wow once louisville turned up the press wichita folded like a wuss.. Why isn't there a jump ball in college basketball? Leaves a bad taste in my mouth to have a final4 game decided like that.. right?

Armstead and Early from Wichita St look so ready for the pros..especially Early - crazy length and hops

Damn, too bad Wichita didn't pull off the upset. Looks like Louisville will take home the trophy this year.
