Official NCAA thread

OH MY GONZAGA...nooooo...u're killing me...oh well...maybe USC can win in OT

7 otta 11 so far in on bracket
8 outta 11 in the other, but this ones got gonzaga final four!

C'mon Holy Cross, why didn't you pray that you would beat those infedels Kansas? Arrrgghhhh...

Looks like USC is going to get the boot..

That was awesome to see the Gonzaga Bulldogs lose. I didn't like them anyway. Also cool to see that Heinrich (sp) from Kansas will probably be out for a while. I have Kansas losing in the second round to Western Kentucky in one of my brackets. So far I'm pretty far off in all of mine but at least my school (actual school that I am attending) fared well today. GO UK!

NCAA tourney is just awesome, in the end it really does not matter who wins.......(not really!!😀), this is pure entertainment!!!! UNCW!!

First night isn't even over and my office pool bracket is more than likely DOA! 😛 Fantastic games and upsets though! Go Golden Flashers! (Kent)

Was that "golden flashers" comment a joke? It's the golden flashes and I couldn't tell whether you were trying to be funny or really didn't know the team's mascot or just had a typo.

<< just gotta hope a lot people i am in competition with had USC beating Duke >>

I thought about it...but decided against it...whew 🙂

Yeah it was...should have put in a 😉 "Golden Flashers" is their *ahem* unofficial nickname (at least that's what the Akron Zips called them).

Akron and Kent. You guys are familiar with Xavier I bet.

It will be interesting to see how Cincinnati's bast@rd child Xavier (UC's arch-nemesis) will do against Hawaii. For anyone unfamiliar, Xavier is less than 5 miles from University of Cincinnati. We have a brutal rivalry. Two of the best teams in the Nation in the same city within walking distance of each other, and in the same bracket!!!

MrDingleDangle,

I beleive Western Kentucky did not turn in an "official" starting roster 10 minutes prior to the tip off. Stanford started the game shooting free throws. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Xavier has been my cinderella team every year since i was a soph. in high school...about 8 years ago...never panned out though...maybe this year!!! well one year they did all right sweet 16 i think.

GO XAVIER!!!!!!!!!

Go Bears!

USC was big time dissapointing- saw last 3 minutes and on of regulation

I was hoping Gonzaga would do well though

Ah yes, the famous Skyline Chili Cross-Town Shootout! I was able to go to a few of those while I lived in Cincy and they were a hellava good time! Rankings and stats mean SQUAT when the Bearcats and Musketeers meet...both teams are out for blood to earn bragging rights for the entire year. Akon and Kent have a similar thing though on a smaller scale (U of A grad myself).
