I had this conversation with some UK fans a few days ago. Basically asking them how they can really find as much joy in these teams as the ones I grew up watching. I used to root for UK back in the Rex Chapman, Pitino, Tubby days. You really got to know the players back then and wanted them to succeed. Now you're basically just rooting for a logo because I just don't see how you can ever become vested in these guys since they are gone before you ever really know them.

Yeah I know this seems to be the age of the one and done and Coach Cal sure does know how to get a lot of them. But imo it's not good for history. Sure they may yield national titles, but 20 years from now I think people will recall teams like the Comeback Cats before this one.

yeah, it's like mercenary basketball. Who really wants to watch that? These aren't teams so much as a product to sell merch.

Not really. There are plenty of teams that don't have a one and done. And I can count on one hand the number of teams that have multiple. Make that one finger.

I actually just realized this Notre Dame team reminds me a lot of what I used to love about college basketball. Not that I can root for the Irish. (Or is one allowed to separate basketball from football??)

UK sac'ed up and put it away. Great game by Notre Dame. Not much more they could do right. They should have had it.
 
3/4 so took a big jump up the standings. stupid michigan state screwed me last year by picking them and returned the favor this year by not.
 
I want UK / Duke. Last team to make it to Final Four undefeated was UNLV and we know how that went. Plus UK / Duke just always seems to be good fun.

In the end we will probably get Wisconsin / MSU. 😉
