And yes, I've heard them refer to SC as USC--they even have hats.

And I agree, Clemson hasn't looked like a top anything team all year. They did look pretty good the other night but Bama is a beast.

I had Florida but I changed it to Iowa last night after remembering who FL was playing at QB. Also Iowa seemed to be trending up. Oh well.

I haven't seen much of this game. I was actually out getting a haircut and it was on TV and the girl was from Philly and wanted Penn State to win. It was her "second favorite team, but still I like them a lot more than South Carolina". I just let it go, but thought it would be fun to mention it here because of the controversy 😉.

I'm still doing good with my NY6 picks though, could be 5-1 by the end of the night...
 
Claiming Penn St shouldn't be playing is just dumb. That being said, has been a great game so far. Not very fair to look back, but sure looks like Penn St vs Clemson would have been a better game.

Very much so. Heck Western Michigan against Clemson probably would've been a better game. Monday morning QB and all though.

That was a mighty impressive performance by florida with minimal offense.
 
There's some buffoonery going on in the Rose Bowl. That's why I don't get why they weren't more aggressive on the last drive. Get the first down, games over.
 
Gotta blame that on the penn state coaches, not sure why they swapped up what they were doing in the 4th quarter but they looked like crap.
 
I've had a rough day, 0-3 so far. So much for that come from behind strategy! Seems 1-3 are already set. The question is who will be 1 and 2.
 
Great game, I didn't really care who won. Just glad it turned out well. Penn St needed 4 yards to win, couldn't do it. I do think USC being relevant again is good for college football overall. Their QB sure is pretty impressive for being a freshman. Not the only freshman QB doing well either.

Missed the part when they saw that. Yea, there's more to it. She started it, but responding with that much force still isn't a good look for the media.

USC does seem to be trending up. FSU as well, also with a RS Freshman QB. Both also had a blowout loss early. Maybe someday soon they may play each other again?
 
Look at this Penn St stat couresty of ESPN:

Penn State offense:
-First 4 drives: Int, Int, Punt, Punt
-Next 7 drives: TD, TD, TD, TD, TD, TD, TD
-Last 4 drives: Punt, Punt, Punt, Int

Weird stuff there.
 
It seems a lot more coaches are willing to go for it on 4th down these days. OU just went for it. More often that not it works to their advantage.

To be fair, I hated SC before "knowing" you; but if it makes you feel any better, you have thoroughly failed to change my impression. 😀

Yeah, Clemson has looked overrated much of the year, but they have turned it on late in the season and looked incredible the other night. Still, NCSU beat them! 😡 🙁
