if you leave the game close enough to allow the refs to decide the final outcome, you didn't play well enough... sorry, thats a bs excuse.

um, it's the NCAA tournament. every game is supposed to be close. the games are also supposed to be officiated consistently and correctly.

excuses are like assholes...

you lost... get over it, its over, life goes on... what exact call are you blaming on the refs that cost you guys the game?

I'm not Texas fan, but here's list
1. Five second violation was questionable in two ways
- it didn't take 5 seconds
- Texas player asked for time out
2. last play by Arizona and defensive foul: Texas player did not block Williams; he was in paint first, and not even in the way
3. Offensive rebound in last second should been called foul as much as 2. did

1. I havent seen a good enough replay of it... honestly but the ref was signaling 5s as the player went to call timeout...

2. Sure he was in the paint, but he was still moving laterally and attempting to get into position... charge/block calls are THE most difficult calls in the game, however this one imo, was correct.

3. refs are not going to call a ticky tack, light touch foul on the last play of the game.

oo, here we go for 1.

IMO, you see him literally saying 'five' on his fifth count as the player calls timeout... it was boom boom, but 5s is 5s... its a debatable call i'll even say that the official was at 4.5s, but humans have weird internal clocks...

That Hensen guy is some kind of idiot. Dropped the ball after the desperation toss and then followed it up by trying to goal tend the second one? UNC fans better hope he doesn't get called upon to do something important late in a game like dribble or pass or shoot or run.
Or deflect an inbound pass to rob Washington of their best chance to win the game?

Tell that to Pitt!

The last foul on Pitt was not a light touch at all. The guy completely grabbed the Butler players arm and nearly pulled him down.

I agree that most of the time they will not call that but in all cases, it should be called. If they hadn't called that and Pitt somehow stripped the guy and scored to win.....just saying.

syracuse out

they were the better team but messed up big time towards the end

Boeheim should think about retirement after being outcoached by Buzz Williams. Buzz got his players to play with passion, Boeheim's players choked like a kid trying to eat too much birthday cake at once. Pathetic. My bracket is done.

I was more disagreeing with the statement that refs don't call fouls in the final seconds of a game, and agree that they should be called. Mostly because that game got me that much closer to my pool's prize, ha ha ha!

FSU's defense has been a treat to watch all year. It'll be even sweeter if they beat Notre Dame. 😛
I've liked Leonard Hamilton since he coached Oklahoma State back in the Big Eight. He never could recruit the top flight players, but he got a lot out of the squads he had. It still pisses me off that they replaced him with that toad Sutton.
Florida State is fortunate that he tried his luck with the NBA, or he'd be likely still be coaching against them in Miami.

Duke and UNC barely won games against lackluster opponents they should have crushed, FSU is looking the best of the three.
How many big-name teams have failed to hold on "against lackluster opponents they should have crushed"?

A win is a win.

East and west brackets are complete chalk except for Marquette. And Zona being a 5 seed beating a 4 seed texas. Anyone rockin chalk is doing pretty good on the East and West. All the upsets are on the south side.

I only got one game wrong on my west/east side bracket so far. My ESPN bracket that is.
