/me stays faithful to Lakers.

Wooooo Lakers. If the Pistons end up winning it all I'll eat my crow, but I think all you asshats will be the losers in the end. ;)

Haha the Lakers offense is out of rhythm, but it has little to do with the Pistons D.

again, the Piston's defense gets no credit.

it didn't when we held 5 straight under 70. it didn't during the Milwuakee series (remember what Damon Jones said?). it didn't during the Nets series (remember what K-Mart and RJ said?). it didn't during the Indiana series (it was bad offense, not good D).

and it doesn't tonight.

of course the Lakers played bad and it had nothing to do with the Piston's defense. keep telling yourself that.

look at the edit in my OP, which was like 10-15 minutes ago, i said the pistons played exceptional D but the lakers were playing horiibly. they shot terribly

i know. you did give credit to the Pistons. i guess i'm speaking of TheBDB's original post (i know he conceded it later).

i'm just so tired of people making excuses. the Pistons have been holding their opponents to 39% FG throughout the playoffs. the Lakers shot 39.7% tonight. take out Shaq's 13 for 16 and they shot about 28%.

so far during the playoffs, just about every team has said "we shot poorly" "it was more our bad shooting, than their good D". this is the norm for teams who play against the Pistons.

i said this before, the Pistons play defense on a different level than the Spurs.

This thread is very interesting. We have had probably the least number of Laker fanboys in here then I have ever seen in an NBA finals thread involving the Lakers. Or maybe the fanboys are just trying not to be annoying like they always are.

Oddly enough, when I turned on Sportscenter this morning they were showing this little montage of Kobe and Shaq scoring, with "Fever" playing in the background. Then they start talking about the game and I hear Pistons by 12. How bizarre. Anyway, Shaq got his points, but only 11 boards says alot to me. So does 6-30 shooting from all but the Lakers Big 2.

And finally, yes you probably will shoot poorly when every shot is contested and you have to work that much harder to get those shots.

last night watching the game I have a very strong feeling most of the commentators a pulling for the lakers because most are avoiding the fact that the pistons played outstanding last night and instead say the lakers played poorly

aww, is someone a little sore that the spurs lost? you saw the lakers down 2-0 against the spurs and then they won four straight. everyone thought the spurs were just too dominant and the lakers were done for, guess we'll have to wait and see.
