Just FYI - They are rolling out the Resurgence Pack now but they are doing a slow roll to prevent another server meltdown. You can find it at this link. If nothing comes up for you now, check back later.

Edit: Looks like it is up for the USA now.

How the heck are you hitting those scores? Even my 43 kill game...that's:

200x43 - Kills
200x2 - Predator
300x2 - Harrier
400x2 - Pave Low (it is 400, right?)
50x2 - Multikills (just guessing)
1500 - Match bonus (lvl 27...just guessing)
-----------
So I'm guessing around 12000 points total, and that was a freak of nature game for me, not sure how you guys are doubling and tripling that.

By the time you throw in match bonuses and challenges, it's pretty easy to do.

Hell, I had a 27000+ XP Search and Destroy Match. 11 kills=11000 XP, completed some challenge and got a 10000+ XP match bonus.

And no, I don't boost. What's the point of trying to pump up stats for a video game???

Got it queued up, thanks!!

boosting to get those scores?

10K XP match bonus? My typical match bonuses are like 1500-3000 XP...

I seem to get a least one XBL message per session asking if I want to join a boost lobby for xxxx MS points or $x over PayPal. Then I rage against the sender. !@#$ing losers.

So I downloaded the map pack...and I'm not sure what to think. Fuel just seems too big. Maybe it's because I played like 4 consecutive matches there (all Domination/Search & Destroy). There's so many places to go and buildings to set up in. It was hard finding the other team in a 6v6 match. I think it's great for Ground War, but regular matches are going to be rough.

I've always liked Vacant, but now it's so dark inside. Maybe with an HDTV it's better, I don't know, but the matches I played had lots of campers (more than normal) in every conceivable shadow. Strike still feels like Strike, but again, it's been darkened. It was really hard for me to pick people up in buildings or even outside in the shadows of buildings.

I don't know how Carnival plays, but it just looks fun. Lots of big landmarks, lots of buildings, lots of places to go. I think the Rocket Ship is going to be like the dog house on Salvage, except it'll actually get used by some people. In the 15 or so games I played/jumped into/out of, I never saw Carnival or Trailer Park come up on the playlist.

Yeah, I've gotten several of those messages...losers!

I've also been noticing alot more hacked MW2 names. And once again, my theory that most of 'em are MLG gamers (or at least wannabe's) is true. I swear most of 'em either have a MLG gamer pic, MLG in their gamer tag, or the MW2 clan tag is MW2. There are a few that don't though.

I said months ago when the rumor came out that the two CoD 4 maps would be Vacant and Shipment, I do not think that Vacant will play very well on MW2. Danger Close, AA-12, etc will keep it from doing so.

Just like the Stimulus map pack it won't surprise me if there is one map I just do not like. In that pack it was Bailout (which is odd as everyone else seems to love it). I figured that Fuel would play out alot like Wasteland, is that at all true??

Wow, that's god damn pathetic...

Yep. At first I just deleted them but now I'm just sick of the spam.

I've also been noticing alot more hacked MW2 names.

Yep, and it sucks because you can't report them for having a name of "Ni**er Killer" or "Your Mom's Vagina" (both real cases I saw in the past couple days), because when you pull up their profile, it's normal.

What/who is MLG?

Vacant is one of my favorite maps, but you're right: with Danger Close, it's just not going to work. Strike is a great inclusion, though.

I hate Bailout. It's a good map, I just suck at it. I just can't "figure it out". Don't know what I'm missing with that map. I really like Storm, though. I used to like Salvage, but I'm sick of it after playing it 1384 times in the past week.

Yeah, I report them for cheating (it is a glitch) when I see it.

And MLG = Major League Gamers

I suppose the organization itself is kinda neat, trying to bring some competition to gaming. But I swear I have yet to meet someone who associates with them who isn't an arse. Everything from one guy messaging me saying he was going to rape and kill my mother because I "camped" (meaning I killed him a bunch of times in the same general area) to people yelling online about how awesome they are to, as you can guess, cheaters. Yay...

Vacant was one of my favorite CoD 4 maps as well, but the game played alot different than MW2 does.

Bailout I've figured out, you either camp the house on the left or the balcony on the right...yay. Storm and Salvage I love, even though I do play Salvage alot.

I asked this a month or so ago, but I can't find the post... Does the 360 have "hacked" leaderboards like the PS3 does? The top like, 1000 people all have the exact same number of kills (21437509 or something like that), their K/D ratios are in the 100,000's, etc.

I can't stand Bailout. It's just like you said Kabob, camp the house or the balcony. All I ever see on Bailout are snipers or noob tubers.

One of my friends pointed something out about the new Stimulus maps the other day. They're nothing but corridors. Storm is nothing but corridors/walkways inside the warehouse & around the shipping containers. Salvage is 4 corridors from one side to the other. Bailout is 3 long corridors. There's no real variation. I'm hoping the new maps fix that.

I figured that Fuel would play out alot like Wasteland, is that at all true??

Not for the games I played. It was really hard to get a feel for the map, honestly. It's big, but not big and open. If you get up high in/on some of the buildings you get some decent long sightlines, but I think that will take some time to develop as players get used to the map.

Yes. It's like the first 10000 at least. I scrolled through one day for about 5 minutes trying to find an unhacked score from the beginning. Never found it before I gave up.

I rarely see snipers, it's almost all tubers when I play.

Yeah, I guess the 3 new Stimulus maps are sorta cooridor-y

Your friend is absolutely right. What's up for debate, however (and is purely subjective), is whether this is good or bad.

I say it's good.

The map packs are chock full of maps designed in the same vein as COD4's maps, which I am ALL FOR. The single biggest complaint levied against MW2 is its map design: too big, too open, too much vertical play.

If you cut your teeth on COD4, MW2's maps were total culture shock. If you cut your teeth on MW2, the map packs are total culture shock.

I very much prefer COD4's maps and most of the maps in the new packs. Of MW's original maps, I'd scrap them all except for a select few (off the top of my head: Highrise, Skidrow, Karachi, Sub Base, and Terminal). Those that I listed do have problems though when a lot of people are noob tubing and/or using Danger Close. I also like Underpass and Invasion, and Afghan has grown on me, but those are very different from COD4's maps.

For me, it goes both ways. I really like Salvage, and Storm is generally ok. Crash is and always has been great. I never really did care for Overgrown, and still don't. Bailout needs to disappear. Now.

My ideal map list, in no particular order:
Sub Base, Terminal, Rundown, Karachi, Derail, Afghan (possibly my favorite MW2 map), Skidrow, Salvage, Storm, Crash, Highrise, Invasion, Underpass (rarely)

I have a feeling Strike and Carnival might be added to that list, but I'm thinking Carnival is going to get VERY campy. I don't think noob tubes are going to work very well on that map, though.

If we're talking about "ideal" playlists it'd look like this:

Crossfire
Crash
Broadcast
Strike
District
Backlot
Pipeline
Salvage
Downpour
Highrise
Storm
Skidrow
Terminal
Sub Base
Scrapyard
Invasion
Rundown
Karachi

Vacant if you can axe DC.

Afghan and Wasteland are getting old.

Underpass, Wet Work, Countdown can go away...forever.

I know they said they're done with map packs but if they would release a map pack that just had reskinned versions of Crossfire, Broadcast, District, Pipeline, Backlot, and Downpour I'd be overly excited.

Underpass, Wet Work, Countdown can go away...forever.

Countdown is one of the worst maps in any game, EVER. I hated Wet Work at first, but I started sniping on it and had some great sniper wars... and I hate sniping.

Crossfire and Backlot were GREAT maps. Was never a fan of Pipeline.

Most of those matches where with 16+ kills, but no more than 24. One, be on the winning team (better match bonus). Two, somehow stack 4-5 challenges in one match.

That's where most of my xp came from. Out of the 29k XP 22k was from Challenges, both times.

Crossfire is my all time fave.

Same here. Crash and Crossfire rival de_dust as best evar.

Most people playing Crossfire would just pick a building and try sniping from window to window while us stealthy bastards shimmied up one side and down the other with our silenced MP5's and P90's collecting heads.

Good times.
