Oh dear god... I had the most frustrating experience of my life because of some stupid wise and beautiful woman of a child.

I'm on Hardcore mode, sniping, and doing fairly well for myself. Then this asshat/dickscarf jumps in my view. I just wait for him to leave as this happens sometimes, but then I hear him start yelling on his mic:
"AHAHAHA HI FRIEND DO YOU WANT TO PLAY WITH ME?"
get out of the way
" BUT WE CAN HAVE FUN"
I move, so does he... right in my view so every time I try to take a shot, I kill him and lose points for a team kill. I finally had enough so I shot him in the face, told him I filled his mom with my man fluids and then reported him. God I hate children.

Ok so i read ages ago that Kabob had 5 headshots left to get fall on his UMP so he saved them until next pestige to get lts of points.Is is the same with the SCAR?
 
I've actually not prestiged yet, I'm near the end of 69 but I haven't had a chance to play much lately.

It should work the same for all of the guns. It isn't headshots, it's prestige kills/headshots. If you've not prestiged yet they won't show up in your challenges.
 
Yeah, then in your case if you stop using the SCAR and pick it back up after you prestige and get 3 headshots you'll get a big XP boost early on.
 
Finally got my AC 130 emblem. Needed 6 more and got them all in a span of an 1 1/2. I was just in the perfect "noobie" lobby all night. Now I have just Stealth Bomber, cuav, nuke, and emp left to get.
 
Meh, I've not focused much on getting emblems, I liked the AC-130's emblem so I got it...turns out that I like the AC-130 a good bit so I guess it's all for the best. On the flip side I started getting the chopper gunner emblem but don't like CG so I gave up.

Hmm, I've just got to level seventy of my first Prestige. Do prestige challenges stay when you do the next prestige then?

You get an extra custom class slot. Plus new Prestige only challenges.

I'm at level 70 of my 1st Prestige, though I'm not sure if I want to start over again. I think I'll keep playing like it is for now then maybe Prestige again after the new maps come out and I get used to them.
 
Prestiging is one of my favorite things to do, I love starting over and being the underdog. If you want to keep all your gear and such then no, don't prestige, if you like completing challenges and unlocking your gear all over again then do it.

Every other prestige unlocks another custom slot. I'm on my 3rd prestige now and just unlocked slot #2, honestly 6 custom slots is plenty for me.
 
Well, needed a break from Bad Company 2 and re-purchased MW2 😳 . The gameplay seems to have changed since I last played it: only ran into one tool using Commando + Lightweight. Forgot how much I appreciate 60FPS too!

I saw you on MW2 last night and thought to myself "wait, didn't he sell the game!?!?" Hope you got it cheap. This is why I didn't sell it in the beginning, it's a very different game than BC2. I enjoy both but MW2 I play more often still.

Got it from Amazon for just under $50. Oh well 🙁
 
Yeah I regret selling of my original MW last year for $30 to fund my Batman purchase. I don't regret getting Batman at all as it was TOTALLY worth every penny. I just wish that I had gone through the MP part of MW1 as all of you seem to like it better than MW2.

CoD 4 as a whole (multiplayer included) is better than MW2. It's one of the most streamlined multiplayer experiences I've enjoyed. The maps were fantastic, the weapons were balanced, killstreak rewards were the dominant force they are in MW2, the gameplay mechanics were great, etc. They tried to "up the ante" with MW2 and did it WAY too over the top. There's actually still a decent sized fanbase of the game, you could probably pick it up cheap and give it a whirl but after getting used to the mechanics of MW2 you might have trouble dropping back.

If with the new DLC content they would add a "no killstreaks" lobby I think it'd be a good move. I'd play it for sure. They still need to fix the maps though, they honestly just need to release the majority of the CoD 4 maps as most are vastly superior to the MW2 maps (with a few exceptions).
 
But at $15 for the map pack that sure hurts IMHO.

I'll probably sucker up and get it anyway but I just feel that's awful lot to charge for them (of course there is a nice massive thread on that topic already so I won't go any further).

Meh, it is $15 but considering how much time I'll put into the game it's worth it. Also, doesn't it come with more Spec-Ops missions and such as well?

I still think that $10 is a more fair price but I'll sacrifice one trip to McDonalds for the difference.
 
Now that I have the game (again), I took a look at the new trailer. The maps actually look pretty decent. If there's good word on the maps once they're released, I'll buy them. Because I'm a big pussy.

Kidding, I'll still nab it, although I'll be slightly less thrilled about the whole thing. Heck, isn't $15 what they charged for large DLC expansions for FO3 and such? Now I do feel a lil' gipped.

1600 point cards are on sale at Best Buy and Amazon this week, buy some just in case!
