A tip with the sniper rifles - glass counts as a penetration kill, but doesnt slow down or weaken your bullet. Its still going to take a long time, but at the start of every match, get your ass to a window and shoot someone through it.

Also, in Sub Base between A and B you can shoot through that metal looking cage in the middle of the room and get penetration kills; that's how I did it.

I ran through the FMJ sniper challenges. The assault rifles are much more difficult for me to get. FMJ + Thermal makes FMJ sniping easy.

Extended mags are great for some guns like the Scar that are great guns with small clips.
 
Skidrow is good for FMJ challenges as well. It's easy to shoot people in that upper hallway through the mattress in the hall, and even between rooms.

That's actually the map I hope for when trying to get FMJ kills. I've actually finished off my ACR, RPD and AUG on that very map.

Nice...I went 27-0 on underpass last night. Would've gotten a nuke if I had equiped it for sure as my Predator did not get a single kill. Harrier and Pavelow dominated though. Surprisingly, not many people had CB equiped on the other team. CB pro is a must on underpass.

Go for Danger Close Pro IV and One Man Army Pro IV at the same time ... At least I got it now, sorry to all the nubs I destroyed 🙂
 
Anytime you use Danger Close it's going to piss people off. I enjoyed doing it with the AT-4 whilst using Scavenger.

I have a friend that does this, and he pisses me the f off when he's on the opposite team. Plants c4 around his camp spot so peeps can't get in and keeps bombing away from one location. So, annoying.

Just counter with a Javelin or LMG.
 
I finally finished AK47 mastery last night, so now I've got mastery on all assault rifles. Just gonna finish up a couple level VI perk challenges (I think it's just Marathon and Steady Aim to finish now) for those titles and emblems and then I'll probably prestige again.

no shit.. I have mastery on one weapon only and it will prob stay that way. There are far too many other games to play to unlock everything for every weapon.

I'm definitely an achievement whore/perfectionist with most games but I don't think I could possibly play MW2 multiplayer long enough to get them! It doesn't hold my interest for very long.
