Sorry that other rich as fuck owners never ponied up as much as the NYY>

their lineup from top to bottom is just ridiculous. the fact that they can pick up every hot free agent every year is retarded. get a dud? oh well, just get a new guy next year! every other team w/ probably exception of the red sox has to deal with eating up shitty acquisitions and a budget.

the yanks played really well though and both teams deserved to be in the WS. too bad the phils shit the bed 🙁

NO other team comes even close to the revenue stream of the Spankees.

Still, it's nice to see them finally overcoming the limitations of their 200 million dollar payroll and doing something.

Now if only those plucky lads could get themselves some media coverage! 😀

It's true that they do have a great revenue stream. I'm not sure what's with the misdirected anger though. For those of you who want a salary cap, go cry to MLB and the players union. The Yankees are playing within the rules - if they can afford to spend more, why shouldn't they?

Yep. Utley recovered from his earlier postseason problems, but Howard shit the bed in the WS.

<cough> Texiera <cough>

Power hitters are streaky by nature.

Care to guess what the infinitely great Willie Mays lifetime WS batting average was and how many homers he hit?

How 'bout .239 in 20 games and 70 plus at bats with zero homers?

And Willie Mays was the best ballplayer I ever saw, ever.
