Ridiculous inning. Absolutely ridiculous.

5-2-5 double play? What?

beckett vs weaver. if jered can pitch like he's done at home all season long; we should be in for a good duel.

edit: hahaha my mind must still be in the dodgers game (you still stink holliday); typed jeff instead of jered.

Best announcers so far from TBS for the Angels-Sawx game.
Or maybe its because I am used to hearing Don Orsillo since he does the Red Sox games on the local NESN channel that has all their games.

i actually dont mind orsillo considering he does red sox games. his homerism doesnt really show through and i actually dont mind his calls. but i guess after hearing chip caray i would take bobcat goldthwait doing a radio call of a game. and i cant wait for the always fantastic ( ) joe buck in the alcs and world series.

Bob Brenly is a great announcer.

I really appreciate him now after hearing him all season with the Cubs (although I gave up on the Cubs pretty early this year).

I feel sorry for Ron Darling who is awesome when does Mets games. Chip Caray is so so so bad.

Geez what a huge win for LA yesterday. But don't be too hard on Holliday.

"That ball got lost in 50,000 white towels shaking in front of Matt's face," Wainwright said. "It doesn't really seem fair that an opposing team should be able to allow their fans to shake white towels when there's a white baseball flying through the air. How about Dodger Blue towels?"

Holliday said:

"I didn't see the ball," Holliday said. "Obviously, I can catch a ball that's hit right at me. It's very difficult to swallow. We had a chance to win the game. It was unfortunate that it happened when it did."

It's pretty obvious the LA whiteout played a role in who won this game.

there's also a report saying that the lights had something to do with it. holliday said he got a good beat on the ball but as soon as it started dropping into the lights he lost it. the lights came on in the 7th inning on the umpire's decision (which is normal). but it was only 5:30pm and there is still plenty of daylight left. but because its the playoffs and to accomodate tv schedules there's these funky times like having the phillies games at 2:30pm est, so umpires play it safe when it comes time to flip on the switch for the lights.

Where the phrig are the Phillies phans?

Perknose is a Philli Fan - however he experiences phases of deja vu.

There is a critical Senior Mod discussion between two of us on this series.

Does that qualify you as an optimist or a pessimist?

God damnit, we would have killed for CC to pitch like that for even ONE damn game in the 2007 ALCS. only about 6 or 7 former Indians in the playoffs this year.

Ugh

Think it qualifies me as someone who will get whatever tickets I can get my hands on. 🙂

I can put it next to my game 5 ticket from the World Series last year. 🙂
