Belliard is on a better offensive rhythm right now, and Dodgers need someone to pick up the slack after Manny has been not his usual self as of late.

Hudson off the bench is not bad.

No way. Regardless of his recent slump, Hudson is a solidly above average 2B. Belliard has only been attractive because of his completely unsustainable HR/FB ratio. That makes him "hot" right now, but also highly likely to regress like crazy. His defense is terrible, which mens that even if he continues to slug the ball, he's giving back runs every game he's out there with his glove.

Hudson is the superior player by a wide margin. I don't understand the move by Torre at all.

Anyway, this game has been pretty exciting! Neither team can get the big hit yet.

The Dodgers have to feel good about a 3 run lead, but it's a shame for them to have left so many runners on again. Both these teams are hitting like shit when there are RISP.

man I hate the Yanks.

In retrospect - there's only a handful of teams that wouldn't have contended for a playoff spot adding the guys the Yanks did this year. But give them credit; they spent wisely.

And I guess baseball kind of needs the evil empire.

Stupid TBS? Why? TBS has always been a cable channel. Not like they became a cable channel just for MLB playoff games.

If anything, you should say stupid MLB instead, since they gave the contract to TBS to air the games on their channel. Just like the NFL did with ESPN for MNF.

At the end of the day, its all about who will give them more money for the rights to air the game. It is a business, after all.

Now quit your whining and pay for cable!
