now I noticed that MLB must be some baseball tournament.

Yankees will suck dick again this year.

Here's hoping they're under .500 by July and they trade Cano.

Whatever. Dollars to doughnuts they win another WS within 5 years. Gotta love the only major north american team sport without a salary cap :whiste:

Parity in terms of season results is a lot higher in Baseball than it is in Football or Basketball.

In the last 10 years, there have been 8? different WS champs? The playoffs have been largely diverse as well.

IMO, baseball would improve more from a salary floor than a salary cap.

Also, a lot can happen in 5 years. In 5 years, the Yanks will be without Mo, Jeter, Granderson, Cano, Tex, A-Rod, Pettitte, probably Sabathia, Kuroda, probably Hughes...etc. In 5 years, based on prospects, every other team will surpass them unless they start trading some useless people (hello, Cano?) away.

The sad thing is when people say that I just assume they're being ironic at this point.

I have a friend who is a Mets fan, he's been dead inside for a long, long time.

I feel the same way. Even as a die hard Mets fan, I have no confidence in them.

Mets outfield is going to be just dreadful. I don't expect the Mets to contend anyways but it would have been nice to have Bourn.

he would have been another jason bay, glad they did not get him. they can use the 11th pick in first round more than him

Slightly confused as to why NYY fans such as yourself consider Cano "useless" when he would have been AL MVP if Trout and Cabrera were in the NL last year...

Lets see;

-Doubront & Breslow limited (shoulder soreness)
-Bucholz strained hamstring
-Napoli limited (hip)
-Victorino @ WBC

Red Sox straight ballin' already. See ya in June after the Bruins win the Cup.
