If you're not the world's most incompetent driver then you're more likely to be hit by a car..and if you're in a Mini, chances are that car will be a good deal bigger, than to run directly into a wall.

If I was being slammed into from behind by a Chevy Suburban, it would be a no brainer if I would prefer to be in a Mini or an F-150.

It's only common sense. Would you prefer to sit in a Cement truck and take a t-bone hit from a Camaro or would you rather sit in that "government-certified"-safe Mini and have a Camaro t-bone you? Me, I'll take the Cement truck.

Of course I realize that. However, as I stated the MINI Cooper has won all kinds of safety awards. And, as I said before, you too must know more than the NHTSA and the IIHS.

Ooh, look at me, I have no brain and I only listen to what others tell me.

There's no doubt that the MINI will do well in a 40mph crash into a concrete wall..and if it won awards based on tests like those, you just have to question how applicable such tests are to the real world..

That is a well documented fact that an F-150 doesn't hold well when running into a cement wall, but if you had a Mini running directly into an F150 at 40mph each, which vehicle would you rather be in?

I have something called a conscience and therefore would rather drive a small car with a smaller chance of injuring someone else than some huge behemoth just so I can feel safe. Of course Americans are known for their ability to not feel any regret. Tbone a mother of 4 driving her Miata and you sue Ford for making your Excursion unsafe.

you are right, you have no brain and you do listen to what others tell you. Me, i have seen videos of the 4000lb machinery that they smash into cars at 38.5mph to test their strength in a side collision.
