If you win by playing the rules and that sucks for fans, the rules are to blame, not the fighter.

Remember the earlier MMA fights, like UFC 1 & 2 or whatever and royce gracie would bum fuck his opponents for hours and hours on the mat, just snuggling up like a snake until they got exhausted? Was terrible to watch and boring, but legal. So they changed the rules and forced people to reset after too long dicking around on the ground.

Sorry, Time is money. I didn't watch it, just the 3 minutes to read the last page of posts in this thread to know it was a waste of time. I WON 😛

Time isn't money on a Saturday night when I am not working. Time is time, so I guess the time I lost watching I wont get back, but it was still FREE time. 😎

I didn't find Royce being boring at all during those times, he was fighting guys much bigger.

This is a comment I posted online 4 days ago.

Jab, run, jab, run, jab, run. If I do this 500 more times, I just showed you the fight, so you owe me $99.99 each.

Floyd ending up throwing 435 punches, so not a bad guess by me for someone who doesn't really follow boxing.

I agree to disagree. Lots of people on other chatboards think Pac won. It was a close fight, however, any way you cut it. It was Pac by more than a hair imho.

At the end of the day, who gives a fuck.

I guarantee that those chatboards and the posters with such thoughts are 100% Filipino. 😀

They're probably judging in terms of punch quality. Mayweather won because he ducked a lot of Pac's punches and hugged up whenever Pac got into range to land more quality stuff. On the flip side, 67 of the 148 punches he landed were jabs and most of those were meaninglessly into Pac's gloves. But that's boxing scoring for you and that's why Mayweather is as "good" as he is. The rules allow for you to win in this manner and that's why boxing is of almost no consequence these days.

Both of the undercard fights were more exciting than the Main Event. Pretty sad.

This just feels like a football game where teams don't try to score at all, and the game ends 0-0. So they let the refs decide who they think played better.

A fight without 1 knockdown is hardly a fight.

Very crappy way to win/decide any sport.

Talk about a way to let a sport die with a whimper.

I just added boxing to the perma-list of nap-inducing sports alongside golf and baseball.

Obviously fights like this bring out people who never watch boxing. This isn't the movie Rocky, this is how the sport is and which is why it's popularity has gone down significantly. We got the match we were supposed to get.

Man, I always get tired after 400 punches, I guess that's what separates the men from the boys 😛

i should've spent last night watching this on repeat

so what you're saying is...it was a good fight and worth the money?

I actually don't mind a quick destruction of an opponent. GSP fights were usually boring. I also get to watch them for free at a sports bar, since I know the owner.

Also last night I watched Rampge vs. Maldonado in addition to Pacquiao vs. Mayweather and despite being old and full of injuries Rampage was much more entertaining.
