Just thought I'd get an early jump on this big matchup. Once again, they meet up in the playoffs, this time in the 1st round.

First game: Sunday April 18, 3:30PM on ABC
Second game: Tuesday, April 20, 10:00PM on TNT
Third game: Saturday, April 24, 7:00PM on ESPN
Fourth game: Monday, April 26, 9:30PM on TNT

Let the flaming begin! I pick Dallas in 6 - it'll be a hard fought series. Dallas is a bit more inconsistent than they were last year, but I think with their small ball game, if they can execute it, will confuse the Kings. It worked very well in the last few games, but again, the inconsistency is what hurt them in their losses. They also no longer have that off the bench playoff leader, Van Exel, so Walker will have to step up bigtime for Dallas.
 
Go Mavs! It'd be awesome if Dallas can get something out of this less than stellar season, other than Marquis Daniels.

BUT:
1) Mavs don't have home court
2) Mavs better not go in offensive slump because they have no D, and Sac's offense is (usually) awesome.

Mavs in 5.

They always had more firepower than the Kings and this year is no exception. Arguably, it is even more dangerous w/ Jamison and Walker. What always killed them is lack of defense especially in the interior. Well Vlade is even older and Webber is nowhere back to what he was, so the inside threat isn't so bad anywmore.

Josh Howard is moving along quite nicely too. I'm impressed by both of their play and they'll be huge contributors once they get some play under their belts.

Yah, I agree. I'm concerned about Daniels's free agency though. With so many 'similar' players, Dallas will have an interesting off season re: trades. I hope they ditch Walker. I never liked him and his 'tude in Boston, so I was irked that Dallas got him.
 
I'm a LAKERS fan but would like to see the Kings win because I want to see another LAKERS vs. Kings Western Conference Finals.
 
Argh disappointing game. It was a great game through 3 periods and then Dallas just collapsed...our clutch guys were no where to be found. Dirk dropped off the map despite being HOT all game long. Nash sucked, Walker sucked, don't even get me started on Finley. Good game to the Kings though.

And I'm very impressed with the way Daniels played today - he stepped up big but Nelson shouldn't have had him in the 4th quarter - it was clutch and it should have been all the Big 3.
 
The Mavs are formidable but they cannot stop the opponenets when they are down like the Kings can.

anyone watching game 2 tonight? the Kings are shooting horrible tonight... but it's still a 1-pt game
 
Wow this game is going back and forth... the Kings had a run, then the Mavs had one... Now the Kings lead by 1 at the end of the 3rd...
 
What happened to Divac? He used to be a decent player (of course not as good as his acting), but now he just SUCKS!

The Kings just can't hit anything now... haven't had a field goal for like 10 mins...
