That's a bit early since the polls only closed 20 minutes ago, BUT, the first results I saw a couple of minutes ago showed 44% yes, 56% no. (4% of polling places reporting)

Where they have finished reporting matters too. Different parts of California are going to swing widely on the subject I believe. There's going to be a lot of opposition though due to growers and suppliers here not wanting their market hurt. If it doesn't pass I'll probably start growing big to sell to clinics. Fuck it, if people want to be stupid and pay damn near street prices I'll make some money off of it supplying clinics.

lulz if this fails... you still have pot being sold on every corner shop. might as well tax it. vote no to free money!....

The problem is, getting it now is easy. Why? Because the government isn't involved. Involve the government and they'll tax the shit out of it and make it expensive as hell in the process. I don't know why you want it legalized.

You're an idiot.

not looking good so far. Just hoping YES stays > 40%

Proposition - 19 - Legalize Marijuana - Ballot Issue
California - 1311 of 24845 Precincts Reporting - 5%

No 259,781 57%
Yes 199,879 43%

doesnt legalizing it take some of the thrill out of it

It is "legal" currently so that makes no sense. The advantage of having it legalized is taking it out of the "grey market" it is in currently and allowing full cultivation of the plant. Prices would be dropped significantly, it would save money in law enforcement and prisons, taxes will be gained, jobs created. There is no downside, not to mention it will be in the THEME of our nation which is FREEDOM. We currently don't have the freedom to consume what we choose because they want 0 supply. I want full drug legalization to get the dealers off the street, to get rid of the black/grey markets. People are fucking stupid.
