Preview of a replacement for the now slow-selling IS300. RWD V8. Hardtop that can be locked into multiple positions so you can have a targa or a full convertible, etc. And it looks like the Altezzas may be gone. :p

Edit: there are a few pics of the interior if you scroll down but it's an out-there, obviously concept-only interior.

That would make more sense, but the press seems to think this is replacing the IS. I would love to know if the info came from Lexus press material.

It seems strange that everybody is mistaking this vehicle as a replacement to an entry-level luxury sport sedan. They probably know something I don't.

Check out this article.
Judging from their response...nothing was lost in translation.
Ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to introduce the result of that collaboration...and a strong hint to the direction of the next-generation Lexus IS...the Lexus LF-C sports coupe concept.
Pretty much straight from the horse's mouth. The IS is repeatedly mentioned by the Lexus execs introducing the LF-C.

They intend to expand the IS lineup, so the LF-C shows what the coupe/convertible variant might look like. Presumably, there would still be sedan and wagon versions.

that would be cool if they made a IS coupe more choices for me to pick from
the 4-series, Audi A4 coupe, and G35 coupe are the only choices i have so far
if they only made a coupe rear drive version of the TL :)

A4 coupe? Since when? They had plans, and as far as I know, scrapped them. There's only the convertible coupe. Well, still a coupe, but hopefully I'm wrong about them not coming out with a hardtop coupe and you're right.
