It's Valve, I can't remember the last game they made that wasn't fvcking amazing, also, I love zombie games, try zombie panic:source and you'll see what I mean.

umm...half-life 2, DoD, CS?

HL2- best PC game ever made, top meta-critic score ever, tied with a 96 among several other titles,

counter-strike is still hugely popular, also, many high scores,

and day of defeat may not have been amazing, but is still achieved a score of 79-80 on metacritic, and it one of there less major titles, not to mention is was based on a mod team's work, and it is insanely fun game to play, if it doesn't look that nice.

how's the saying go? "just because it's popular doesn't mean it's good. just look at Mcdonalds." ???

Because its your own team! You can shoot the stragglers or betray everyone close to the end and make a run on your own... Think of the gameplay possibilities, it would be just like something out of a movie, awesome stuff.

Well see that's the thing, I read the Wiki and it said that after running you get to a designated area that you have to fight off the zombies and wait for help. So maybe killing off someone wouldn't be a good idea since you're going to need all the help you can get in the end to get rescued.

Also McDonald's is good. I don't know why it gets all the bad press. It's just cool to hate McDonald's.

Yeah but i dont need them, they will just hold me back, slow me down etc, i just like shooting my own team i dont know why. Ill wanna get to the end eventually but unlimited TK is a good idea imo, starcraft effectively has that and it can be hillarious at times.

I like mcdonalds too, once every so often theyre fine, tasty and cheap.

as for L4D I haven't made up my mind.. it looks cool.. but then again it looks a little too simplistic and repetitive.

so far none of the games that have come out this year that I was looking forward to have delivered.

that includes.. Fallout3 Fable2 GHWT Warhammer Online.. Farcry2.. and god.. what else did I waste my cash on so far..

Do you not appreciate the story, character devlopment, action, puzzles, cleverness, music, excellent control scheme, and plain fun, and just focus on the limited # of weapons or something?

I didn't like HL2 because it was way too linear. I also don't like the way the Source engine feels. In fact, I'm not a big fan of anything by Valve even though I've played almost all of their games.

I agree HL2 was another disappointment.

TF2 is the only Valve game that kept me entertained for any amount of time. except the original HL.

I am a CSS junkie so of course I will be buying L4D.

I loved HL2+Episodes SP action. TF2 bored the hell out of me within the first hour of play. Glad I didn't buy it.

The demo supposedly contains the 4-player coop mode, so we should know something this week about Valve's "matchmaker" system.

Yeah apart from its annoying tendancy to crash when minimized its really good, also people who dont like half life 2 should be shunned as i have to assume they dont like it because its popular and they want some attention etc. There just isnt really any fault with the game at all, "its too linear" isnt valid because its supposed to be linear, this isnt halfcry 2 trigens revenge. If you are not impressed by storming a prison crawling with guards that have glowing eyes and turret guns with a bunch of antlion monsters at your control then your standards are too high.

Some application that will make your setttings and such the same on any computer you log into Steam on I believe.

Can't wait for early demo access on the 6th!
