I think im definately gonna buy it as it sounds a lot of fun. Its made by valve so it surely cant be bad. The really awesome selling point is in the name actually, its a team based game where you have to survive against a bunch of zombies, but theres friendly fire that cant be switched off so if you feel obliged you can shoot your teammate in the legs then run away and they will be left 4 dead ahahaha!!!! Awesome, im gonna have a lot of fun with this 😀

The AI director thing looks interesting, that should offer a varied experience with less of the "No your playing it WRONG NOOB" attitude some gamers take after they have learned every level with every monsters location and hitpoint number also memorized and a precise plan of attack all worked out.

Demo is out NOW for those who pre-ordered.

Demo is out on the november 11th for everyone else.

Game is released on november 18th.

Just to clarify, is this basically a glorified version of the zombie mod for counterstrike? Not that that's a bad thing.

This is co-op at it's finest. I haven't been this excited about a game in years. I'll be looking forward to finding a select group of people and playing this one through the first night. I'm a cs:s & tf2 guy but L4D will own all.
 
I'm looking forward to it as well.. Mostly because good coop games are few and far between. I haven't been a big fan of suspense shooters, because I'm a little twitchy to begin with. I can handle scary stuff, it's just the 'boo!!!' crap that makes me high strung. 😛

Best part is all my friends are waiting to see how I react to it.. heh... they're bastards.
 
i was looking forward to it until i had to move out here where the only decent net i can get is sprint's mobile broadband. can't play online fps games at all🙁

I've been sold on this for like... at least a year now, forget when it was originally mentioned. They've put a ton of work into it, so it will be really good to see it completed.
