They were killing the Lakers then the NBA\Refs decided that we couldn't have our money makers out of the playoffs so early. We need to have Jack Nicholson and them dropping big money for a few more games.

Let's not even talk about Shaq flopping against David Robinson either.

if you believe in NBA/ABC/referee/laker/jack nicholson/martian conspiracy theories and imaginary high fives then there is no real point to discussing it with you is there.

Funny how you neglect to mention that in the first couple of games Duncan had more FT attempts than the whole Laker team did, those weren't bad calls, were they?

Shaq fouls out of 5 games all year, yet in game 1 they called 6 on him, 3 of the ones that I saw were awful calls, BS tickytack calls, but those were right now too right?

Face it, the refs have been calling the games in favor ot the home team, regardless which team it is.

that's been my opinion... albeit incomplete viewing

Yea, Shaq was out most of this season due to surgery so don't give me that 5 games all year crap. Game 1 Shaq should have fouled out earlier with all that elbow throwing crap he does. He's not a good player, he's just bigger than all the other humans on the planet. Then when the Lakers realize that they are gonna lose, they start playing dirty and swatting at David Robinson's nuts. Give me a break.

P.S. You guys probably started being "Laker Fans" after they won their first championship. ;)

funny to see spur fans succumb to lame king fans tactic to justify their team choking. "it's all the refs fault! the NBA rigged the game!" when lakers were down 2-0, i just sucked it up and kind of want them to lose so it'll finally hit them that their bench blows. but hey you can't keep blaming the lakers for keeping their composure under the worst scenarios.

very nicely put. a team lost. deal with it. nobody is perfect to win every single game. lakers got shut down the first 2 games, didnt say anything. in fact, i came on here and said 'hats off to (insert team here), beat the lakers'. thats because i have faith in my team and know eventually they will prevail. but then we get lee harvey oswald/jfk conspiracists here saying this and that. oh well, lakes won, and im going to drive home happy because my team won.

right, you keep thinking that if it'll make you feel better.

<-- born and bred in LA, I loved watching Magic, Kareem and James Worthy in my youth. The only reason I wasn't rooting for
Jerry West back in the 70's is that I wasn't born yet

The fact that you made such a generalization has made me lose all respect for you.
Part of it is simply because Shaq is the most difficult player to ref. Any ref will admit that. He gets as much punishment as he dishes out. He's not a good player. He's a GREAT player. How many people that big are that quick? How many can dominate a game like he can?

i immediately can tell you're a fake NBA fan just by the mere fact that you think all shaq does is throw his weight around. i guess the entire league is WRONG in saying he's the most dominant player and you are right. go gain 350lbs, grow to 7'1" and try and run the court back and forth for 40-45 minutes. try to spin and do a reverse layup with a 7'6" right in front of you.

btw, i can tell you became a laker hater after lakers won their 1st championship. you hate for the sake of hating. go away.

Great Players don't flop. When was the last time you see Jordan, Bird, Magic, Duncan, or Dr. J flop? Shaq is quick too. Quick to lip off how great he is and how much money he has. If the guy wasn't a mutant, he wouldn't be in the NBA.

Quick note, everytime the Lakers lose, Phil Jackson blames the refs. That's when you will hear him manipulating the refs in the media just to ensure that he wins the next game.

And everytime every other team loses (whether they're the Kings, Spurs, etc.) they ALSO blame the refs. What a revelation!

How dominate was shaq before he fattened up? Exactly. I really wish people would stop acting like shaq is the best thing ever. I will defenitly admit that he's incredibly athletic for his size and he's got some decent moves but that's about all he's got going for him as far as skill. If you won't admit that shaq's as dominate as he is largely because of his size then you're just another myopian. Over the last few years who's played shaq the best? Sabonis. And why? Because he's closer to shaq's size and shaq can't push him around as bad as he does everyone else. Not to mention sabonis is an old guy who can't begin to keep up with shaq's athletic ability. That tells you alot right there.

Btw, how many good big men are there in the nba today..... Exactly. There's nobody. He's good because he's good but he's also good because he has no good competition.

What I really don't get is his dad. How does a former marine sergant (I belive) not b*tch slap his son for being such a crap talking disrespectful peice of sh*t?

Gee well... remember his Orlando days? Didn't he take them to the Finals?

Sabonis hasn't handled Shaq. The reason the Blazers (in the past) have handled Shaq is that they've had a LOT of big men to throw at him. And he's still played well past that.

Big Cheif Triangle is the king of mind games. Even laker fans have to admit that he tries to influence games/players/teams more through the media than any other coach. Some day you guys will see that he's not half the coach you think he is but that's another thread I guess.

Shaq hit 17/23 free throws. NO skills huh??

next time check the box scores before ranting away.

for all the BS complaining you like to do about calls, IF shaq wasn't making them it wouldnt be as big a deal, so give the guy SOME credit.

BTW, Duncan was 16 / 20 Free throws. He got calls because he was aggressive, the rest of his team WASN'T hence they didn't get the calls. GET OVER IT. it wasn't the refs, it was the style of play.

When did anybody ever say that he's such a great coach? It's been about refs and Shaq. That's it. When did Phil come in? Phil wasn't even there today!
Maybe some day you'll see that this is all pointless and that there IS no big conspiracy against whomever you're rooting for.

ibelieve the role of the coach is way more important off the court than on. these are professional nba players. they CAN play but the trick is to get them motivated to play well together. phil jackson is a great motivator although i do admit a lot of his success was through the fact that he had great players under him.

Wow, 17 of 23. And oh, lets see. For this seasons playoffs his percentage is .609. Career playoff percentage is .529. Career percentage overall is .542. You're right. Absolutely stellar. You really got me there

and 3 rings. hmmmmm.

face it. you're just jealous because he keeps winning.

Irony is, I'm not even a lakers fan. Haven't been for a long time. I'm a Nets fan and when they meet the lakers in the finals i'm gonna be rooting for the Nets. but until then i can acknowledge Shaq's contribution to the NBA unlike poor sports like you.

BTW, In Wilt's Prime he changed the RULES of basketball because of his abilities. Sometimes you have physical anomolies that makes it difficult for others, so it happens.

Just because shaq is a freak of nature doesn't mean that he isn't a GREAT BBall player.

truth is all seven footers are freaks of nature.

Wow, he points to Shaq's poor ass free throw ability as his GREAT skill. Someone in this board must be smoking a fat and stank one. ;)
