...They have a great bench.

the lakers don't. muhahaha. i hope kings take it all the way.

and i doubt lebron james is going to lakers - if he does, i've doubt those three will last b/c they're all showboat. each wants to be a star, and it isn't going to happen. this brings me back to when shaq was teammates with hardaway in orlando, then they split. and carter and mcbrady in toronto, and they split...see what i mean??

Yeah, I doubt it would work. I mean Shaq and Kobe are already all-stars and have won 3 championships together. They both want to be stars and it wont work.

Thats the one thing that has shocked me the most about the Lakers. They have two all-stars and its worked for 3 seasons. Most times, two all-stars causes all sorts of problems on teams. Usually, its one all star and a bunch of good supporting cast.

yea but look at kobe and shaq. They have won 3 championships.

Lakers are struggling, but they are still the team to beat. If they make the playoffs, the ring has to go through them.

see by sig for my fav team :)

Yeah exactly. I don't know whats wrong w/ these people who keep ratting on Shaq & Kobe. Be it brute size for Shaq, or ballhogging by Kobe, they still are 2 of the best in the game right now. The Kings are a great team. Peja and Bibby are awesome. Dallas might have surpassed the Kings now though.. it'll be an interesting playoffs if the Lakers don't make it to say the least.

As a Kings fan, I am not too worried about Dallas. Dont misunderstand what I am saying. I am not saying Dallas is not a good team, but they are not the caliber as the Kings. Why?

Mavs have lacking defense. They have no good individual defensive players. They play zone defense. As all basketball fans know, playoff games are played in half court, and zone is useless, especially against the Kings when they play pick and roll (see last year) and pass really well. They may be a good defensive team during regular season, but lets see if their zone defense can go toe to toe with half court offense.

Mavs lack mental toughness. How can they forfeit 26 point lead going into 4th? I give credit where its due to the Lakers but the team touting #1 offense not able to score is scary. Again, give credit to the Lakers for clamping down on them.

We will see though in the playoffs. Last year, people were predicting that the Mavs would kill the Kings in the playoffs but the opposite happened. Once again, Mavs are favored over the Kings.

Offense may win games, but defense win championships

I think Mavs may need another year or so in order to compete.

You have to go 33-19 to make the playoffs. Good luck.

the lakers are only back of the #8 seed by 5 games, that could be made up in two weeks if the lakers get on a roll

i am so happy Kings won.
Lakers need to lose the championship this year.

No, the Lakers need to not even advance to the playoffs this year.

I still hope the Lakers make it to the playoffs, and I hope the Kings take them out in the conference finals like they almost did last year. If the Kings do win a championship, it won't have that same feeling if they don't go through the Lakers.

It'll come down to the last game. LA vs Golden St. If LA wins they're in...if they lose they go home. Golden St blows them away. :D

I've been a Lakers fan since early 70s and I was even able to get my wife to watch the Lakers games when Magic Johnson came to Lakers.......Every team goes through peaks and valleys and it appears that Lakers may be going through some tough times this year. I still think Lakers have chance to make to the playoffs, that is only if they regroup and get their act together real fast, so that they at least be able to defend their title.

Sucramento Queen fans finally have something to brag about. They beat a lottery team. At least I don't have to hear any more bitching & whining about last year's officiating.

Brag all you want idiots. But come playoff time I can guarantee we will see the Lakers in their championship form. True champions never give up, and Shaq and Kobe are probably the two most competetive players in the NBA. They won't see this season go down the drain without a fight, that's for sure. For all the dominance the Lakers seem to have had these past few years, I still see them as an underdog time most of the time. A lot of their wins are "comeback" wins and its only in the last few quarters when they seem to pull it all together.
