Official Lakers versus T'Wolves thread

Did anyone notice how Webber started to step up in Game 6 after Sac had the game in the bag? HAHAHAHA. He won't shoot during crunch time, yet he shoots when he knows he can screw up and not get heat for it.

So sure the Wolves are gonna beat the Kings eh?

Packed Target Center + pissed off KG + pissed off Sam Cassell + Wally's shooting touch = W

Anybody else miss Bill Walton?

Walton > Rivers > Michaels

If the Twolves can't do it the Kings sure as hell can't.

Edit: And the wolves haven't won anything yet.

This is going to be an awesome series.

There is no better way to jinx your team than to post this thread.

Pittsburg stealers in 2001 AFC Championship: "Pack your bags for New Orleans"... lose the next day.

I don't think anyone gives a damn about the Pittsburg Steelers.

Twolves won't have Hudson and Wally, and will probably lose in 5 to the Lakers. Shaq will eat the Twolves front line alive; literally.

I don't care who gets there... I just want the Lakers to lose.

Good luck with that. 😉

Actually the Kings would have a better chance to knock the Lakers off than the Wolves. Kings fastbreak and pick and roll a whole lot on offense, and those are the Lakers two biggest defensive weaknesses. Vlade + Miller have a better chance of slowing Shaq down than Candy or Johnson. Payton can't contain Bibby, I could go on.....

And to the OP, aren't you looking too far ahead? The Kings and Wolves haven't played game 7 yet, at least wait until that series is over before you predict the next.

Yes, but that was their weak point in this last series, but the lakers adjusted for the pick and roll, and turned that one around quite nicely if I'm not mistaken. The wolves on the other hand tend to play well against the lakers, and now with wally working back into the rotation he'd be a nice addition. The wolves are a better team than the kings straight up, but who is playing better right now is an entirely different question.

If the Wolves are the better team straight up why haven't they won the series yet?

Kings on paper are the better team than the Wolves, but they played like crap at the end of the season and even in Round One against the Mavs, so people wrote them off quickly.

hm, yea i think kings will lose. there are days when they have really horrible shooting nights.

and they aren't a very good road team either.

so poor road team plus the pressure of elimination...i think wolves will take it.

The wolves, like the kings, are playing like crap. The Twolves simply have not been able to hold a lead, which is unlike them.

Twolves won't have Hudson and Wally

Neither Hudson nor Wally have been a factor this year. That's irrelevent. And unless I missed something (which I could have) Wally is back.
