Might as well get this one started so all the hate can be spewed forth before we actually get hands-on impressions of the thing. 😛 I don't plan on buying one nor do I think it will be ultimately successful based on the demos I've seen of it so far. It just doesn't look like it functions good enough.

Anyone here actually planning on buying one? Pre-orders are apparently very, very strong, but the real test will be how it performs once people get their hands on it.

I don't intend to ever buy one, but a friend is getting one for free so I'll get to see it first hand at some point.
 
I'm definitely not picking this up. My daughter would rather play Halo and Scott Pilgrim with me, but I will get a chance to play it when my sis in law picks it up this Holiday season.

Better than running around in the dark with a glowing dildo on the PS3.
 
It's just a matter of technology. Obviously the Kinect cannot be as accurate as the Move but you have the advantage of not having to buy hardware for every person that wants to play and you don't have to hold a "glowing dildo". Me personally I don't like motion technology at all on any system but we've got to start somewhere.

I think kinect is worse than move by far even though neither are for me. Kinect will definitely sell more. I'll put money on it with any of you idiots that want to lose money and don't know anything about marketing or business.

The Oprah show is gonna sell around that many Kinect boxes alone.

Amazon was offering a $30 gaming coupon with Kinect and an extra game for $200. Deal looks dead now though.

There are rumors that Kinect will be in short supply due to high demand so that may be why it's been removed. Wal-Mart had a similar deal at one point too.

Except that two Move controllers cost less than a Kinect (which only supports two players).
 
Move starter bundle (camera + controller + game): $100
Move navigational controller: $30
Additional Move + navigation controller: $80
Total for 2 players: $210

Granted, you could potentially already have a camera, and maybe you don't want navigation controllers, but to get the full fledged Move experience from scratch, its not cheaper than Kinect.
